basically every character has stuff like that that they ignored, very few changes they made i actually think are beneficial or just as good.

take jon spending more time with ygritte in the show rather than in the books where they focused on jon and the halflhand trying to flee the wildlings (despite knowing they'll eventually be caught and die), i would've liked to see the book version, but the show choice isn't bad either.
