I forgot he refers to the Kid as the Man at the end, but isn’t the Kid native or at least half Native? Elgort can’t play that

Would it translate perfectly? No
Could it ever get made and marketed in the current market? Also no
But saying it’s unadaptable is such a lazy take and ignores film’s capabilities
It’s definitely a hard book to trudge through, but the end experience is so fucking worth it
