I think it has more in common with The Matrix, the ying-yang shit is pretty strong. Both have industrial metal/electronica soundtracks, spinning cameras and slow-motion, one is sci-fi the other is quasi-fantasy, both are about a hidden world that no one knows about, a war is going on, and the male protagonist is drawn into it
