Avatar the last air bender is too childish(especially the early seasons) but is good enough for a kids show. The main character is bland as fuck and the only interesting characters are Zuko, Azula and Iroh.
But it doesn't utilize the medium to its full potential like anime. I have never seen any western animation in the past few decades push utilize editing as creatively as say Satoshi kon or provide as much visual poetry like a Takahata or a Miyazaki film.
Now not to say the west hasn't been producing great content(and that's even more true if you look beyond hollywood) but the fact you choose TLA shows you're a brainlet manchild who can't appreciate good animation.
