That stance is stupid. It's a shame they felt the need to give her a special lightsaber instead of a personality, especially since they wind up developing her personality quite a bit over the series.

Every Clone Wars lightsaber fight was blocking for a bit, then somebody would kick somebody else instead of stabbing them with their saber. Also the animation during fights had a weird cadence. The swings would be extremely quick, but they would pause and linger on the block before doing another really quick slash. It was jarring.

I doubt it, EA doesn't care enough about Star Wars to add in deep references to the lore like that. Plus I don't know if a single saber user has ever suddenly become a double bladed user out of nowhere even after changing sides.

I like her and I like that fans had an autistic rage to Anakin having a young Padawan.

The writing and animation improves considerably over the course of the show.
It manages to have better characterization and conflict between ideologies than anything in the prequels.
The scene where obi wan and his mandalorian waifu are in the mexican standoff with the other guy, and it's a no win situation until anakin shows up out of nowhere and gordian knots the problem with the vader theme subtly playing.

So what are the new Clone Wars episodes focused on? Are there any hints yet?
I am really intrigued by the stories of the clone troopers. Those are my favorite and what I loved most about the show. It was really interesting to see a random clone trooper that was once cannon fodder become a character who you recognize when they pop up.
