Why is the pacing so damn slow?

why is bort green?

they didn't have to adhere to normal television time rules so they don't need to cut ANYTHING

oh I thought this was cancelled?

american adult cartoons are all the same shit. gag driven trash that tries to be phunny all the time.

Is there a second season now? Did they bother to add ambient sound effects this time?

They hadn't invented good pacing yet.

green bort

it's not so much that they're cutting stuff as much as they are stretching out the scenes
in any episode, that is the same time length as an episode of Futurama, there are half or a third amount of scenes

Never watched this but where is the mouth on that black creature? Is it the hole parallel to its eyes or in the bottom of his face?

I forgot about this show, is it still going?

I want for you to never be able to.

>ywn go back and watch futurama for the first time
Fuck this gay earth

I think this show is better suited to being plot heavy. The second half of S1 is much more enjoyable. I was suprised at how much I liked the King given he seemed a one note character early on.

Anyhow, things to fix:

Give Elfo a fixed personality. There seemed to be at least 3 different versions of him : the 'bad elf', the innocent unworldwise elf and a less stupid, shorter Fry.
Give the demon something to do. He's just... there most of the series.
The show needs a straight man to react to things or push against Bean (part of the reason Elfo was so inconsistent is he had to be shoehorned in this role).

what a babe

>Good news everyone
>I've invented a mind erasing machine so that one could enjoy their favorite things for the first time again.

>You will never meet your buckfu.

Are the creators Cal Arts grads?

I don't understand how they though this would have any staying power whatsoever. The various fun/clever ways for Fry, Leela, and Bender to interact have all already been done. Now they think they can put them in a fantasy setting with no Professor to hold the thing together, Zoidberg/Hermes for character specific comic relief, or Amy for waifu baiting. It is just so boring. That's why it feels like the scenes drag on. In Futurama you had the same core dyamic, but all these awesome ancillary characters to mix things up. Also it was still fresh (until the later seasons when the formula was already starting to grate on people).
