Millennium was more to the fantasy side, but the first two seasons were indeed kino. Lance Henriksen, Terry O'Quinn, Mark Snow's music, cinematography is great, the end of the world is looming all over the mood... amazing. Belongs into my top-5 easily.

I've always thought a better (maybe a fan wankery) way to retcon the ending and obviously it would have needed a bigger budget, but still... Anyway, they should've made it a catastrophic event. The virus would be still going on, cities and areas under a quarantine. The world would have changed two years before the end of the countdown. Perhaps the Millennium Group would have been revealed to the public as a last line of defense as the forces of good and evil are surfaced? I don't know. Sure, they were shady and fighting for the greater good, but I don't think the Group was purely evil which was the simple direction Carter chose.
