I actively hated this show at some point because it all became about BRUTAL RAW DAMAGE. I think it was Riot Squad vs. someone, can't remember, but they tested out a stun grenade that is supposed to knock your ass down and disarm you, and all the "scientists" were all.

The people running that show were undeniably dipshits and their simulations always failed to take way too many factors into account. The company that made the simulation program they used just makes generic turn based strategy games that are all clones of Hearts of Irom anyway, kek. I remember being pissed about how much they sucked the Spetsnaz guys dicks and the Spartans as well. Still entertaining though.
I only ever watched a couple episodes of this, but it really made me want to try jousting.

The second the creatures were revealed to be man-made it ended for me. Just too stupid. The idea of the new life-form was awesome and half of Strangers Things season 2 was stolen completely from Surface.

"reality" show where they had to survive for a couple months during an epidemic of some sort, viral outbreak, zombies, whatever. They would corral off miles of some area for the show. There was some scripted events of course but it was an interesting premise. I think it got cancelled because someone got legitimately hurt and it's in law suit limbo or something.
