no one eh?
Season 2 is generally considered one of the better seasons, but if you don't like this one, you'll probably love S3 and all of S6. S5 is fine and S4 is hit or miss.
I think season 6 (or at least 6 part B) is the best complete series of television of all time
Isn't S4 the one with all the dream sequences?
Yeah, I wasn't too fond of the dream sequences to be quite honest.
just finished ep 9 for S2. if it has a strong end can definitely tip me over.
Ritchie Aprile is a creepy motherfucker
I think season 2 is a straight upgrade from season 1. Mainly because I think the B-plots are more interesting and tie in rather well with the main story.
Ranking seasons is really difficult because even the seasons some people consider to be the worst, there are exceptionally well done episodes and plot threads for every season.
Although i would say season 6 was my personal favorite. 6B is back to back really well done and has some of the best episodes in the series.
what is this part B stuff?
Get a load of this pleb
Season 6 is split into two season.
6A is 12 episodes
6B is the final 9 episodes
I think its like that for contract reasons, can just consider 6B to be season 7 I guess.
>I wasn't too fond of the dream sequences
Fucking pleb
But then again 6B still feels like it is one complete whole. I think 6B came out almost a year or a couple months after the final episode of 6A came out. So in television universe, another year has gone by
>he didn't like the extensive exploration of Tony's state of mind
what a fucking faggot
Rewatching Sopranos, I think everything plotwise is perfect. The only real criticism I have is funnily enough, the actual Mafia-related hits and the way there are done. Sound-effects they use are awful, leaving too much evidence and what not
Ritchie was a great villain
No right answer since each season is strong and every seen has some really great eps. But If i remeber off the top of my head id say my favourite was season 3 or 4. Worst ep is a hit is a hit though take that as you will
I kind of liked Hit is A Hit. That scene between Hesh and Chrissy was great, idk why. Tony’s story about Jimmy Smash, the kid with the cleft palate he bullied and whose criminal career ended very early
>gimmie duh money
1 is by far the worst one and not very good. Then it pretty much keeps getting better.
theyre all great.

Just watch it user, also if I were you, I wouldn't be postin these kinds of threads, you are bound to get yourself spoiled. Watch the whole thing and make sure to come back and tell us your thoughts.
Just watch the show and enjoy it for the masterpiece it is you mong. Do you read great novels and rank the chapters from worst to best too?
>/got/ is back
>board is currently on its capeshit mode out of the capeshit/starshit discussion binary
>alita pedo angel is still revered
Sopranos threads are the one true thing that holds Yea Forums together lads
rankings only maybe matter when you finish the show and want to discuss it, first time viewers should appreciate it for what it is which is the best show of all time
This, best advice in the thread.
gotcha
Heh heh. Guess who is back from his 3 day vacation to the can. Hesh had his circumcised goons throw me in the bad goy reeducation camp for trivializing the holohoax
I started recently too. All the way to season 6 now. I remember feeling that way also, but you should stick with it. It's worth it.
to be fair, the dream sequences were awful when we were watching live
it felt like a whole episode was wasted and nothing happened
but as a marathon, who cares really
Who was in the wrong here Tony or Hesh?
Hesh charging Tony vig for a loan
youtube.com
Tony gives Hesh his portion of the tax money thinking they are friends

Would have Hesh told Tony about the racetrack if he never met his fathers goomah?

Dude, season one and two have been run on a loop in the MoMA. If you don't dig s2, your loss
>and S4 is hit or miss
It had based Ralphie so you're wrong
It goes
6B > 5 > 2/4 > 1 > 3 > 6A
Christopher is killed by Tony after they get in a car crash.
OH
if there is a God, you will be spoiled equally for spoilers you give
just remember that
OH MAROON THIS GUY
Meadow is fine
that's even worse than the Vito hit lmao
Just watch it you fucking fanook
Just watch the first couple minutes of S6E1.
You're welcome.
Some user said it best many threads ago: Season 1 is about people, seasons 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6A are about the mob, while 6B brings it back to being about people. However I add an addendum in that many moments in season 5 are really hard hitting, like the episode about Carm's father's birthday. Just a really fucking good episode if you like observing people.
Finally.
I was wondering where the fuck i even was how this wasn't the first response.
OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH
Kinda stupid making a thread on an already finished show that's widely discussed here if you haven't finished it. You can't realistically expect anyone to not spoil shit.
I already have been, it's like an initiation, eventually I learned not to talk about shows I hadn't finished watching.
Why do people complain about Tony getting addicted to gambling? It'd happen sooner or later, and the way they show it is pretty realistic (T triying to convice Carm to sell her house)
Tony was in the wrong.
You borrow money, you pay it back.
You give something away as a present, you get nothing in return.
it's a snowball effect
you're just making your predestined judgement worse
Because it's a big thing that's introduced in a single episode about six years into the show and then instantly dropped. It's just shitty writing and honestly there's lots of very ridiculous writing in Sopranos especially in the first season which is written like any other mediocre 90s network tv show.
Complain as in use it as criticism for the show? I just see it as the writers showing how much of a hypocrite he is. Also probably spiraling into some kind of depression
Just watch this kino.... perfect filmmaking
What do you mean instantly dropped? It fits pretty well into the narrative and overall themes.
>Johnny Boy telling Tony to honor his debts. And to not gamble because it’s a vice. Coming from a criminal who eventually dies of his own addiction. Tony follows suit
>Tony’s operations are being seized by Leotardo pressing his thumbs down. He needs to feel like a big man again by winning large
>Shows him being a hypocrite as he judges Chrissy for drugs but also constantly breaks his balls for not drinking alcohol
>its relation to Spatafore family not being taken care of. Not only is he a terrible human for being a criminal. He is a terrible boss. He refuses to pay for the relocation and instead uses it all up on gambling much to Chrissy and Sil’s disgust
You just missed out because you turned your brain off and the writers dont spoon feed you
Oh and also, it actually does fucking come back. It literally sets up the scene in Kennedy and Heidi where Tony is fucking gambling and you get that big I DID IT moment
>What do you mean instantly dropped?
What the fuck do you think I mean. It's never mentioned before and the way the show is written it's like it never even happened which is ridiculous because there's lots of gambling in the show. It's very simply bad writing.
>The sopranos isn't about the mob, it's about life
i want to have penisary contact with her milkers
>Never mentioned before and the way the show is written it’s like it never happened
What the fuck are you even going on about? So you’re saying it does set up gambling in previous seasons. But you’re mad it doesn’t leave an impact despite me typing how it impacts the Spatafore family and is another highlight on how much of a fuckup Tony is? And like I said it sets up Kennedy and Heidi where Tony is still continuing to gamble? You don’t know what good or bad writing is
>But you’re mad it doesn’t leave an impact despite me typing how it impacts the Spatafore family and is another highlight on how much of a fuckup Tony is?
Think you're legit mentally impaired desu. Healthy mind doesn't work that way.
You haven’t actually explained why its bad writing
The gambling needs to be unnecessarily spread across the entire season and a couple episodes in the previous season where it’s just scene after scene of Tony gambling every episode and expository dialogue about why Tony is gambling and how he’s a hypocrite because of it. Then a big plot moment where a hitman tries to kill him in a casino and then Tony proceeds to beat the assassin over the head with a satchel full of the money he earned. That’s how it’s done in Breaking Bad.
In season 3 A.J. and Meadow have a incest scene a la Game of Thrones. It is all downhill from there.
>The gambling needs to be unnecessarily spread across the entire season and a couple episodes in the previous season
