Temple of Doom got away with straight-up ripping it off(dinner sequence).
It's pretty great, I'd put it in the top ten. However Golden Gun is Moore's best
Joker steals from it too
>mfw reading BBC news
Roger moore bond is unironic cringe tier, it goes so far beyond camp that it comes across as spoof
Not even close, the only one that does that is Moonraker. If you've seen all of his movies and actually believe this than your tolerance for camp is pathetic edgelord-tier
Yeah right, keep thinking that loser lmao
youtu.be
octopusy
actually it's Moonraker
Campkino
>A gadget that blows things up blows someone up
Yeah that's so much worse than Connery getting surgery to appear Japanese or Brosnan surfing into North Korea, or Dalton doing a wheelie with a transport truck. If shit like that bothers you then James Bond isn't for you, buddy
>He's going to say it!
INFILTRATION AND OPRESSION OF THEIR COMMUNITY
>If shit like that bothers you then James Bond isn't for you, buddy
Which is why I unrionically stick with Danial Craig, more realistic and grounded, no cringe moments, no try hard moments. Deal with it.
You're a Craig fan, I'm so shocked
>no cringe moments
Except your posts
N
Live And Let Die is the best.
>more realistic and grounded, no cringe moments, no try hard moments
When you're so cool you only enjoy the absence of things and can't name any positives whatsoever.
Golden Gun is better, more exotic locations, more interesting villain and a far more memorable climax.
Maybe but I really like the Voodoo aesthetic and early 70s Superfly shit.
>However Golden Gun is Moore's best
That's not View to a Kill.
Golden gate fight song is pure kino
Nah, it's somewhere in the middle, it's too family friendly and lacks sense of danger.
I'd say it's the perfect Bond to watch with your mom.
It's Roger Moore's third best:
1. The Spy Who Loved Me
2. The Man With The Golden Gun
3. Octopussy
4. Live And Let Die
5. A View To A Kill
6. Moonraker
7. For Your Eyes Only
Moonraker is great in its own way. Still has the greatest bond double entendre of them all. youtu.be
I grew up watching all of them (introduced me to titties). Haven't seen the most recent four, but diamonds are forever was my favorite. I might have to rewatch them again.
Where is Diamonds are forever user :(
Beleive it or not, Roger Moore wasn't in that one, I too forget that sometimes.
oh sorry didn't realize you were ranking them based on the actor playing bond
I think I'd like it better with Moore 2bh. It's pretty much a straight up comedy.
It's a proto Moonraker, so yes, it would have worked better with Roger Moore.
Die Another Day is like a more violent Moonraker.
The only bad thing about Moonraker is that the villain lost
So we can all agree the casino royale is the best reboot bond?
True.
No.
I must have seen that movie twice.
I've been going through them all, ranking them after each one to get a complete list of best to worst once I'm done. I only have one more brosnan movie and then the Craig ones. Octopussy is in the very lowest spot. Dead fucking last. I like Roger Moore but he has 3 movies that all were the fucking worst.
Where did you rate Diamonds are Forever friend
Alright then what's the best reboot bond then
Oh that will change when you see the last Brosnan movie
No, On Her Majesty's Secret Service is.
Best Connery: You Only Live Twice
Worst Connery: Diamonds Are Forever
Best Moore: The Spy Who Loved Me
Worst Moore: A View To A Kill
Best Dalton: Licence to Kill
2nd Best Dalton: The Living Daylights
Best Brosnan: GoldenEye
Worst Brosnan: Die Another Day
Best Craig: Casino Royale
Worst Craig: Spectre
Why is diamonds are forever the worst Connery movie user reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
In the fucking trash where it belongs, worst fucking Bond movie.
16 out of 19 so far, having the three Roger Moore films I mentioned below it. I think it's easily the worst Connery one and I placed it low because it doesn't try very hard, felt more like Connery was just cashing in on a check. I did enjoy it quite a bit though, it has many fun moments. So although I'd classify it as "bad" in terms of Bond films I think it's much more enjoyable than some of the other uninspired ones. Feels a bit like a guilty pleasure entry.
None because they are all equally worthless, but you would have to be some ind of weird gimp to put homoerotic cock and ball torture the flick in first place.
This one's even worse.
It's a huge step down from YOLT. Blofeld is an effete British pantomime villain and the Bond thot is especially annoying. The fag murder duo was fun though.
Alright five year old me is crying right now. I'm just gonna go watch rilakkuma and kaoru
They missed a chance to have a Bond seeking revenge movie and instead turn it into camp rubbish.
Connery is clearly looks far too old now and the Bond girl swaps from competent no nonsense woman to brainless bimbo. Add Blofeld in drag, the moon buggy chase and the final battle being made on a really small budget, it's pretty bad.
There are worse Bond films though. I'd rather watch Diamonds than The Man with the Golden Gun, A View to a Kill, Die Another Day, Quantum of Solace or Spectre.
Hey, at least it's not Cr**g.

I used to think Octopussy was a comedy.But now I realize, it’s a tragedy.
>ranking For Your Eyes Only as the worst
> ranking Moonraker below Live and Let Die and A View to a Kill
user...
>he doesn't dig live and let die, the greatest bondkino of all
Get a load of this jive-ass honky.
is the "new" complete blu ray edition worth it?
Octopussy has the most AESTHETIC song also
It's weird because it does have all the trademarks of a film I'd really enjoy but I've never been able to get into it. It just feels really sloppy, like the filmmakers weren't sure what type of film they were making and at times it's really dull. The boat chase scene in particular is sleep-inducing. Even Man with the Golden Gun felt like a significant improvement over it. For me, Moore's peak era was from Spy to Octopussy. A View To a Kill would have been better if they kept to the original Dalton script and didn't bring Moore back.
i like this song but it doesnt really fit well alongside the other bond themes. sounds more like the opening of a daytime soap opera.
>Which is why I unrionically stick with Danial Craig, more realistic and grounded, no cringe moments, no try hard moments. Deal with it.
You clearly slept through most of Spectre. I can't really blame you though
Agreed
Moonraker and Diamonds are Forever are unironcally my favorites. Don’t be a film snob, they’re entertaining movies.
I felt similar on rewatching it. I found it thrilling as a kid, especially the boat sequence, but as an "experienced" or shall we say disillusioned viewer the movie's pacing seems off. I think it could be saved with a fan edit.
I
For England James
>1. The Spy Who Loved Me
10 on 10
Most of the Moore era chase scenes could lose some fat, but the stunts were always top notch so I can see why they let them run long.
Spy is basically YOLT 2 and all the better for it. There's something about a huge set with hundreds of extras in jumpsuits getting slaughtered that's classically Bondian.
>pigeon does a double take at hover craft passing
this
Dr. No, Goldfinger, Thunderball and Living Daylights are the only bonds I like
Licence to Kill is fucking great but there's something off about it
Moore never played Bond
He just continued being The Saint on a higher budget.
Have you seen From Russia With Love?
For Your Eyes Only is probably the best Moore film after Spy Who Loved Me. It holds back on the campness and works a lot better for it.
it's a little too standard action imo
Damn, I need to see more of the Moore movies.
I miss when Bond was fun and not "DARK AND EDGY WHOA THIS AIN'T YO GRANDPA'S BOND" level shit
>Dalton doing a wheelie with a transport truck
The stunt driver actually did this for real though, the truck wasn't even modified
>Ops pussy is unironically one of the best.
>James Honk, License to Live in a Society
Is this the bonus situation?
>craig
>bond
I prefer YOLT myself
>Tiger
>Bond-san
>dat terrible makeup
>Little Nelly
>classic Japanese cars including a Toyota 2000 GT
>a fucking volcano base
It's pretty based. Donald Pleasance was the only decent Blofeld to show his face too. OHMSS shat the bed so hard it basically killed all the momentum they spent the first five films building up.
I love this shit
It's my favorite
Telly Salvas is fine as Blofeld, OHMSS would have been great if they got any of the other actors they were thinking about to play Bond
Live and Let die. Best Bond theme song. Was there anything that Moore's Bond didn't do best?
They even had to write a song about how great he was: youtu.be
His performance is fine but he's written as a total dumbass who tells his own minions to ignore
Draco's helicopters even though he's literally like an hour and half away from his win condition and it would be the most likely time for an attack. The main villain shouldn't be dumber than his random goons.
>He always had an inflated opinion of himself
Seriously what the fuck were they thinking?
I like the personal stakes of License to Kill and the going rogue thing. For Your Eyes Only needed to have the slain parents of the daughter be the old friends of M, and him sending out Bond on a personal hush-hush vengeance mission.
Whoah, I didn't know Roger Moore was one of us
Good script by George MacDonald Fraser who wrote the Flashman books. Just a bit off. Cast and director seems tired of the whole Bond thing.
But definitely better than you'd think.
