I just updated my Sony Bravia 55’ XD8505 to a state of the art LG OLED 65’ E8. I gotta say it is mesmerizing. I can sit through a movie or episode and just gaze at the picture quality. Definately worth breaking the bank for it
>purchased a mid-line LG 4K that I got on open box discount at BB for $700 2 years ago >saved $500, seemed like a reasonable entry price point I can say it was not worth it over a higher end 1080 from Samsung or LG. Any dimly lit or day-for-night scenes deteriorate into a blizzard of gray pixels and the picture loses all fidelity. That being said, I desperately want either an LG C8 or Samsung Q9F since I already have a badass 5.1 system

55 inch LG I grabbed Black Friday last year it’s good, considering I’m improving from a 32 inch Samsung from 2009 I also have a projector I grabbed off Public Surplus from a school which works well

So how long until we have ultra thin 16k membrane tv's or some shit bros? seems like tech is finally starting to make significant improvements after being largely stagnant for a decade, I'm pretty pumped.

The burn in is not an issue anymore unless you're a complete retard and play CNN 24/7 for over a year. Not even playing the same game with a static interface for hours every day will give you a burn-in. Until MicroLED tvs hit the market, there's nothing even remotely comparable to OLED in terms of picture quality. You wouldn't even believe movies can look this good until you see them on an OLED tv.
