Last show I dropped was Young Pope when he delivered the "God's Not Dead" premise in his papal address.

Yeah season 2 is some hard viewing, i stopped as well. Also The Orville, sick to death of every episode either being some awful rom-com on a space ship or some moclan gender boring shit.

They got rid of Bryan fuller so I didn't even give season 2 a gander

The fuck went wrong with that show? Everything went ok in S1 but then S2 fuck shit up also that asian bitch is god damn cancer

I watched the whole first season to see why people loved the book so much and I decided to not go back.
The writers expected the "I am Odin!" phrase at the end to be a surprise or something? Plus, I wasn't invested and the future "surprises" aren't surprises because we all know Shadow is a god or whatever and Loki is doing some stuff behind the scenes.
I don't care about the woke shit, I just want some good story.

Short version: S1 show runners and author got sideways of each other, S1 showrunners fired.

Half the cast quits: No more Media, Easter, and Anubis.

S2 becomes a complete sh!tshow

S1 was a shitshow too. That crocodile bar alone costed like 2 million dollars.

Dropped Altered Carbon after the 1st episode. Acting was fucking awful.

Doom Patrol deals with a lot of weird shit. One episode was about a godlike floating eye in the sky called the 'Decreator', another has a villain that's a rat called Admiral Whiskers. The main bad guy is a living shadow who's aware he's in a shitty DC live action show.

One episode has the Doom Patrol meet a sentient street called Danny the Street, who communicates with signs, writing in its shops, steam and other methods. It genuinely seems to be the most well-adjusted character on the show, but it's also described as gender-queer, which it expresses via men's fashion shops showing women's fashion and keeps a drag queen nightclub going as well. There's a big musical scene in this nightclub when one of the Doom Patrol, a repressed homosexual called Negative Man, imagines what it would be like if he was confident enough to take the stage, but it's all in his head and he chickens out.

It was actually a pretty good episode.

Imagine being such a fag to dislike an episode for having gay people.

I had no problem with the gayness. I didn't hate it, like I said a solid D rating.
I have a problem with a episode doing nothing to move the plot forward. No new info about Mr Negative, minimal character stuff, a feckless villain, hell they couldn't even get danny to commit to a "when you need me I'll be there".
Introducing a new villain is pointless without establishing any relation or progress against Mr Negative.
