no sir, I'm from Kentucky

Honestly one of the most realistic portrayal of soldiers in media. Everybody's a jackass but they love each other for it.

Man this was such a good movie

I was about to write "the only thing I didn't like about it was....." but then I forgot what it was, so it must not have been very important.

There's a _____ in it

I wanna lick Emily Blunt's sweaty armpits

You're obviously gay if you don't.

There's a big guy in it.

I think if you really wanted to nitpick the movie, the question you should be asking is "why didn't anyone use nuclear weapons?". France has a few hundred, Britain has a few dozen, America and Russia each have like a thousand. A nuclear carpet bombing of the areas where the alien attack started would have easily wiped out the "omega". Also air power in general. For no apparent reason, the human coalition insists on using infantry armies with 0 air support, tanks, or artillery.

But that wouldn't have made for an interesting movie.

I read the manga and it was not very good. Not bad, but not really worth reading. (This movie is based on a manga)

i wish i was that card

Thanks for explaining to us that manga sucks. None of us had any idea.

Honestly this movie is what live action anime adaptations should be, take the general concept , the themes , and leave all of the anime bullshit behind.

I don't get it he could got back in time earlier because he got the power of the omega
that's kind of convenient..

The aliens had the power to reverse time and learn from that timeline. If they Omega wasn't killed they would learn to perfectly counter the bombing.

In the books, Humans just observed the Aliens were insanely good at dodging, hiding, and protecting themselves near perfectly from any kind of bombing campaign. Though it wasn't suspected it was due to time travel, they were just like, 'well damn I guess we can't bomb them.'

Its based off a book, a Light Novel called: 'All You Need Is Kill.'

Its a very short and fast read, pretty similar to the movie. I remember the Aliens being more like weird sea creatures that shot basaltic spines. Not black 'mimics.' The ending is much more somber, as the girl finds out she's been looping for so long that she has morphed into an aliens Antenna herself, and needs to die too to stop the loops.

They also explain that the invaders are actually just a part of a complex system of Terraforming poisoning the world's oceans. Sent by some Alien race long ago before any intelligent life on earth was detected.

Does it bother you that your gf isn't as /fit/ as Emily Blunt?

nah im into smol girls anyways

>The aliens had the power to reverse time and learn from that timeline. If the Omega wasn't killed they would learn to perfectly counter the bombing.
I know man, I watched the movie. But the attacks started from the Omega's "base" in Switzerland, right? And it's a living organism apparently susceptible to basic damage the same as earth organisms. It's hard to think that humans wouldn't have started nuking the place where the invasion started once things got out of control. Maybe not the Americans/Brits/Russians, but definitely the French. but like I said before, it's just nitpicking and is ultimately a minor part of the story. Maybe initially, the aliens landed on the Rhine River, got nuked to hell, then decided to just go back in time and land in Switzerland instead.
