PAAAAAYNEEEEE?!?
FRICKIN FED, I KNEW FROM DAY ONE THERE WAS SUMTHIN' SCREWY ABOUT YA
Bruce Willis would have been a perfect Max, or maybe a young Mickey Rourke
what the hell
How about this: Kyle MacLachlan
>you now remember Max Payne 3
no I don't.
hey, atleast it had a nice soundtrack
Mp3 was kino fuck off.
Right then I hated user.
I remember loving it desu
MP3 wasn't as good as 2 and not nearly as good as 1, but it was a good game on it's own and had a good atmosphere.
John WHO?
the dream levels were horror kino
John Woo
B.B. was kino
>tfw I couldn’t make it past the crib dream
I snapped my disc in half and threw it at the wall when I was 13 and my mom, rightfully, wouldn’t buy me a new one. Haven’t played it since
>Maxey.
Soundtrack and gameplay were god tier.

2 is my favorite but 3 is seriously so damn good. Really the only problem with the game is the unskippable cutscenes.
>Nicole Horne : [on P.A] Max Payne, this is futile. A waste of time. The deaths of your wife and daughter were necessary, inevitable. It is done. You cannot bring them back. Nothing you do will make it any better.
>Nicole Horne : [over PA] Max Payne, you are fighting a losing battle. You cannot survive this. You will die. Stop fighting. Make it easy for yourself. Accept your fate. You. Will. Die. Here.
>Nicole Horne : [over PA] Max Payne, face it. You are up against an unbeatable force. You have already lost. You have lost. Only death will set you free from your pain. Accept it. Surrender. Give up.
the ending is so fucking kino, hearing those lines from the evil bitch will you're killing everyone
>You can't win this one, Max
>Maybe, but I can make damn sure none of you do either
kino stuff anons
finish the game user. you're not a man until you do.
>tfw no max payne show with McCaffery
>DO
>YOUR
>JOB
Horne is a really underrated villain. No retarded motive with a backstory just pure, cold greed.
Max has had a hard life
came to post exactly this.
Was pleasantly surprised that I didn't hate the game, as it came out in a period were literally all sequels were dogshit, and it broke the trend nicely.
But it's such a chore to replay because of the cutscenes. I don't even like cutscenes in any video game, so having them be unskippable was torture.
WHAT THE
I mean seriously at least you could skip them on your subsequent playthroughs. But you can't.
I'ts Payne!
The games cutscenes are so good I don't really see it as a problem. They're just there to hide loading screens anyways.
>YOU'RE TURNING HUMANS INTO GLUE
i keked
Matrix mod>MP1>MP3>MP2
Don't get me wrong I do enjoy cutscenes and I definitely enjoyed watching them on the first playthrough. But I honestly couldn't play it all the way through again because you can't skip them. I'm really surprised it's been this way for 7 years now.
>The Virgin Face vs the Chad Grimace
Who would win?
My nigga.
Loved max in 3, he was basically a disgruntled boomer who was sick and tired of zoomers and their bullshit.
for some reason even if it is finished loading it won't let you skip them.
Cutscenes are objectively bad in general though.
You play games for gameplay, you read books or watch movies for story.
>
kek one of the most accurate descriptions I’ve ever read
Pretty much, I loved blasting that wop in the bar.
Man, if this was the level with a blood line and a fucking harlequin tard baby screaming nonstop, fuck that shit.
Total buzzkill.
>gameplay
>bookread
>filmwatch
>sexhave
OOOOOHHHHHH MARONE THIS MICK FED JUST BLASTED THE BOSS'S SON
WATCH IT user
fuck off, bill
When the game came out I thought Max was based on Johnny Knoxville.
Honestly that hoboken level was my favorite, it felt like such a missed opportunity. Mp3 should've just been max waging an all out war on just the mafia in jersey.
they were horror kino because they were fucking nigh impossible to complete with a PS2 controller
Classic nintendo brainlet detected. I mean I was born in 89 but nintendo fags are the number one group of people who say this. The only reason why MP3 cutscenes are bad is because they are never skippable under any circumstances, ever.
The Panama level is pure kino.
This, south america just felt out of place and max blasting hues isn't really that impressive by his standards seeing as they get btfo by their local police force all the time.
>max blasting hues isn't really that impressive by his standards seeing as they get btfo by their local police force all the time
I don't know why this made me kek so hard.
>I now remember max payne 3 gunplay
cutscenes should be skip-able tho
the only nintendo game I ever played was goldeneye.
If I want to have a good story, I'll read one of the many books that have been written, or watch something by Lars von Kino.
If I want to play a game, I want to actually play it, not spend 10 minutes watching some obscene attempt at a narrative play out in front of my eyes, with no interaction on my part.
Half Life 2 did cutscenes right.
Nah, a change of setting was good, and they also pulled it off well.
Airport was kino
>Lars Von Tryhard
>good story
kek
aren't they on second playthrough?
>gunplay is heavy but the pacing is shit
i just finished 2 last night
2 > 1 >John Woo's Stranglehold > 3
>you now remember this atrocity of a movie exists
What was so bad about it? Saw it as an 8 year old when it came out
don't forget
>What do you mean, "he's unstoppable"? You are superior to him in every way that counts. You are better trained, better equipped, and you outnumber him at least twenty-to-one. Do. Your. Job.
No. It has been stated that they cover loading times, and are then skippable, but that is not true.
see
That would have been dope. Peak MacLachlan in the 80's or 90's though. Instead we got Mark Wahlberg.
I still enjoyed 3 for what is was. Gunplay is still solid and I had fun, even if I only played half of it.
3 was much better than the disappointment that was 2.
>The bullet holes were rubies on her chest, blood glowing on her ivory skin. She was beautiful.
>The killer was smiling
1 is a masterpiece. 3 is pretty close but I would have liked it set in New York with Max trying to get out of the city. Otherwise it's great. 2 feels like a DLC for 1!!!FACT!!!
