This show is the exact opposite of feminist agenda pushing though. It shows how useless the woman is by fucking everything up at every turn. The main character is almost a pitch perfect representation of Hillary.

basically. The female push over played it's hand. Growing up people had no problem watching the occasional non-forced female protagonist ie alien, pippy long stocking, etc. or playing as them on games ie, tomb raider, but an element that holds sway in mass media went overboard with it and started to push blatantly forced agenda driven cringe.

Early on it was okay but the last few seasons have made it a parody of itself. It's almost family guy humour tier, just saying dick jokes and then shooting reaction images. None of the humour actually comes organically from anything political or visual. If it wasn't for the fact that there are some strong actors and I have a compulsion to finish anything I start then I'd have dropped it 2-3 seasons ago.

Yeah the sophisticated british writers leave the show after season 4 and we get low IQ american trash from seasons 5-7 with no political insight or wit.

It's not as good as The Thick of It but it's certainly a great TV comedy
The Thick of It is much quicker. Much more fast paced. It's sharper and more biting
