Capeshit isn't a problem. The problem is that it's all stupid shit like Star Wars. There are aliens, asspull locations, everything feels so cringe. Look at Burton or Nolan. The managed to make superhero movies that feel grounded, Nolan's Gotham City feels like real, characters were "normal" and, apart from Batman, they were not flying all around in huge CGI shitfest.
I'm looking forward to Joker movie because if it is a huge success we may see more superhero flick that feel like it could happen for real. I miss that.
