What makes a film kino?

soul

its a movie about cats

Attached: Neon Demon 1.jpg (1718x438, 332K)

Attention seeking catty bitches who would literally eat each other out of abject hatred/boredon

Attached: neon demon 5.jpg (1175x538, 205K)

its too "cool" for itself.

How long before Refn goes full Malick and stops even pretending his movies still have story lines?

who cares? his movies are for 'watching'.

REAL LOLITA SHIT

kek

Refn has hollywood pegged. he knows exactly what these little 'starlets' experience.

and Keanu is the sleezy "poacher" but the most rancid character in the movie is Christina Hendricks as the 'casting agent'. shes fucking disgusting, evil child trafficker in sheeps clothes.

Christina Hendricks even namedrops Chad in that scene. Go watch it again if you don't believe me.

I can confirm this, whatched it the other day

also, I didn't remember keanu was in this
that gold smearing thing was weird tho, real weinstein shit

this flick is pseudo kino that coasts by on its excellent casting for the lead.

wtf keanu no!

It’s alright effort that I thought it was a dime kind of a psychological crime thriller til I saw something on YouTube saying it’s a piece on the black magic. Sooo NOW I roughly convinced that it’s a film on the black magic that has a lots of babes in it ....

Good film, it's gotta be seen

If you think the dialogue is vapid, insincere, or forced, it's because it is. Especially between the female characters in the film. This film perfectly captures the jealousy between bitter cunts. It's all about appearances. The cinematography reflects this.

Got a link for the video?

its exactly as authentically 'forced' as real dialogue between bitchy, hate-filled, competative 20 something hollywood model/actress's would be.

Based cats poster

What? The original script had them as a witch cult, but it's a film about being a woman in LA and the fashion and film industry.
More generally, it's about beauty

Caucasians

Chinks can make decent movies too

Wrong. Beasts of No Nation is undeniable top kino and has like one caucasian character in the entire film and only briefly.
Try again

I wanna have sexual relations with Ruby

Nope, back to /pol/
Nope, die weebshit

My only gripe with the film is how small Keanu's role is. He was wasted in that red herring role. Also
>I'm a dangerous girl
>puts up no fight whatsoever

As someone who gets instantly erect from the mere mention of Elle Fanning OR Keanu Reeves, this movie was horrible. The plot was so weak that Refn is an idiot for giving this film a plot at all since it's bad enough to outweigh the visuals, which are the only good aspect. I can't even applaud the score because the only good piece of music in the movie wasn't written by the film's composer.

Pic related is what this film wishes it was. It's not amazing, but it's way better than Neon Demon.

>waltzing into a thread to so confidently let everyone know you're a pleb
Weird flex but okay

Refn's works aren't about the plot, they're all visual metaphors you half wit

That line is about how young, naive girls are conditioned by the Entertainment Industry to use their sexuality as a weapon. She thinks of herself as a sexy, dangerous badass when really she has no idea how evil the world is or what she's really up against. Like the catposter suggested, she's literally in the Lion's Den and stupidly thinks she can put up a fight.

The ending was so ridiculously macabre it was like straight out of an episode of Tales from the Crypt.

NWR threw away the script midway thru filming and improvised the ending

I’m such a pleb, I watching the film expecting her to turn into the “Neon Demon” half way through the film and exact her revenge on everyone with a katana. Even when she was killed, I knew it was late in the film but I thought the last 10 minutes she would be resurrected and kill all of them.

legit pleb detected

Yeah, I never pretended to be anything else.

how much you like it, even a movie having clever plot, beautiful image, brilliant acting, doesn't mean anything if person does not like it. The real question is: What makes me like a movie?

Expressing ideas that fully capture the spirit of a specific point in time and space is what makes some films more likeable than others.

Also, films that make the audience think about their relationship with the medium are more likeable than films that tell the audience how to think about their relationship with the medium.

I think you meant to replace "Beasts of No Nation" with Black Panther but I couldn't agree more.
