side characters that steal the show from the protagonist.

saul was better as a character, but mike had better scenes.
think you meant to post gus bro
I FOUGHT THE LAW AND THE LAW WON
NoHo Hank is great
yeah seriously, i wonder where they will go with him storywise.
this guy is really good as any sidecharacter.
be it preacher or misfits.
If he's doing an accent he should play Saitama
Him and Ed are the best part of the show
So much that he pretty much became the new protagonist
last episode with hank and the shitty sniper was hilarious
>hank you have to understand, there is a power dynamic here that AAAAUUUUGGGHH
this guy fucking ruins the show
watching his literal boomer ass try to act badass is the more cringe than the intentional cringe with Saul
BCS would be 10x better without the dumb cartel shit
I think there's a lot of fun characters in Gotham (lots of hot ones, too), but I agree, those 2 are up there
yes i laughed about that too.
It'd be hard for anyone not to be overshadowed by McShane, Bullock didn't stand a chance. You could probably argue that they've always both been protagonists, Al gets a lot of screen time from the start. But the focus does shift to him a lot more over time, you're right.
powers boothe was on par with him if you ask me, also brad dourif but his role wasnt in competition to al.
I think we could fill the thread just with Gotham side characters, the show just has so many great ones
>Alfred
>Jerome
>Strange
etc
yeah after the first four episodes the focus really shifts off of Bullock to Al
man Dourif is so great. I just started a rewatch in anticipation of the movie (just finished ep2), and already he stands out so much (telling Jane not to trust Bullock re:Sofia, stopping Dan from coming in, etc).
I like Boothe a lot, but I find it hard to put even him on the same level as Al because we spend so much more time with the latter and so McShane gets to show off more. I think every actor/character more than pulls their weight though, it's one of the main reasons it's my favorite show.
yeah its crazy how many character actors they have on the show, also the whole preacher arc was really fucking good.
bullock kinda stands out like a sore thumb, his acting is kinda one dimensional.
I agree he seems a bit off but I liked that Bullock was so angry and awkward and needed Sol for charisma points. I mean I've seen Timothy Olyphant act more laid back so I'm assuming it was intentional. It does feel strange, him being so obviously restrained when everyone around him is so verbose. But I think it adds to his character, and it pits him against Al right off the bat, because that guy can talk all day and never let on what he's really thinking, whereas Bullock hardly says anything but he's an open book anyway.
>upstages Neil Patrick Harris
this kid is divinely inspired
Everytime he sends a text its the best part of the episode.
it's all so hammy and I love it
youtu.be
but yeah, Jim has to be the straight man anchor point, so almost everyone else is more entertaining. Also his acting is pretty unremarkable.
Saitama is a Japanese manga/anime and takes place in Japan, so Saitama is NOT white. He's Asian, specifically Japanese. STOP WHITEWASHING CHARACTERS. Just like Cowboy Bebop and Spike. Even if the character "looks" white, these characters ARE NOT WHITE. You fucking racists.
Pic related would be a good Saitama.
