Quips

Exactly why did they turn him into a boring retard? He was one of the better written characters in the show.

because being a woman gets you more points than being a midget

At this point he should have died in the arena after the Viper was beaten. He’s literally contributed nothing since the trial

In the first 4 seasons he had purpose, and some power, and allies. Now he is just an advisor, all his "allies" would leave him for Dany. Tyrion basically just has Bronn and they don't interact much because of how the story went down.

He's about to get slightly more interesting this season. He's basically beginning to realize he made a horrible mistake backing Daenerys.

He's powerless now. While he was with his family he could get shit done. Now serves a queen.

They ran out of source material, but they need his one-liners to sell merchandise. Also Dinklage is making like $300,000 per episode lol, might as well use him.

he was good when DABID was adapting GRR's work. when is the cutoff for book canon vs OC in the show? start of season 5? that's when he became le wacky quip midget.

He became boring because they had to clear up the clutter to make way for the "important" characters that are protected by layers of plot armor. Basically Danaerys should've been dead seasons ago.

he was half the man(lol) after being betrayed by shae and attempted murder from his father. it broke him a bit and he lost his edge. that's why he sort of just clings to dany now.

Season 3, user. That's when they axed Stoneheart and made their own changes

Yeah huge fucking change brainlet

People think he was smart because he failed at ruining Kings landing and pucked a literal whore to fall in love with.

Why?

A funnah whoo

It got a little worse with each season, because D&D were white washing him pretty hard, thus making him less interesting. But the tipping point was S5, when they straight up decided to stop adapting the books. Not that his ADWD arc was riveting, but at least he still got to be smart.

Tyrion wasn't extra smart. All he did was make sure the King's Landing battle against Stannis worked out well.

He had a knack for state buisiness obviously which is why him teaming up with Daenerys should have made a lot if sense since she sucks at ruling.

Sadly the writers didnt understand what happened in the first 5 seasons so all that went nowhere.

He was the author's self insert and they ran out of books

He did pretty well for himself in court, he was well read and good at tinkering, like when he designed Bran's saddle. He was just a shit tactician, which the show actually keeps consistent, what with him fucking up the Casterly Rock situation.

Yeah but he has to betray someone some how. That's his only function in the story at this point. And we all know it will happen.

Yeah, it's weird. Tyrion+Dany should be a good mixture but they've done literal fuck all with the partnership. Not once has Tyrion saved Dany from making political mistakes, or even given any advise of importance at all. He has served no purpose whatsoever since killing his dad.

She made zero mistakes though. She can do whatever she wants with impunity.

Which is irritating as she's supposed to be a naive teenager but they make her out to be political wizard and jesus himself.

He does that since s1 ep1

You act like his storyline was any good in A Dance with Dragons.

Joke's on you, I never read the book. I ditched the series about halfway or two thirds through Feast.

It isn't. But he's still more intelligent and witty than his show counterpart.

Pretty sure everyone is aware of how shitty of a ruler she is.

I'm not sure if that's been depicted even once in the show. She's quite competent if anything. A real feminist icon.

OC started early on (like the whole WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS subplot in season 2, which didn't happen in the books) but they ran out of books completely halfway in season 5.

She frees slaves, gets dragons to rape her enemies, gets an army, liberated poorfag nations, yeah she's doing great.

It was, I enjoyed it at least.
