black summer was kino despite its pathetically low budget. Probably a fraction of the walking dead's budget yet 5 times better.

Black Summer was fucking great

Absolutely loved Black Summer. The storytelling format was terrific and super effective. If you haven't already, definitely watch Hyams' masterpiece imo, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning.

10k is still alive? Dope

>all these netflix shills ITT
Jesus christ

>znation is Netflix
????

I miss Murphy Kino

What do you mean? I loved Znation because the gang was constantly on the move and episodes were self contained unlike Walkking Dead. Does Black summer stick to one location?

they are always on the move in Black Summer. but its pretty tame. No gore or anything.

only one of those posts mentioned znation and that one also mentioned black summer
so

i sat through 3 episodes of Black Summer and i absolutely refuse to believe anyone liked it

Z Nation is absolute joy though, real talk

>dude it's not about the zombies, it's the provision of a post-apocalyptic backdrop through the narrative can ask meaningful questions about what it is to be human, and what people do to survive lmao
>yeah I'm 14 what of it

Their goal is to make it to the stadium downtown from the suburbs. It starts out in the perspective of different characters who all eventually clash together one way or another

Keep going. The episodes immediately following Summer School are the shit.

neither of these shows pretend that at all. they're both straight up old school zombie action, with Z Nation taking the fun up to the next level with hilarious amounts of cheese.

I want to believe but nothing clever or creative has happened with this godawful minisode format yet. Please convince me, I'm open to it.

I didn't like it at first but it grew on me. The fat useless bearded cunt curled iup in a ball in the library I thought was annoying but later on when we have the stadium scene where every civilian is armed and it's total bedlam, he stepped up and was useful. That last episode was great.

There's the diner segments which are pure character kino, you can taste the elevating tension in the room for these scenes. I don't wanna spoil what happens but it's great. Following that there's a whole episode where they perform a heist on a military Outpost and it's the coolest most fun shit.

Plus its diverse and inclusive.

Are you retarded or did you just not watch the shows?

"black" summer indeed
