DC Animation > Live Action capeshit > Marvel Animation

I remember spectacular spiderman being real good but it's been 10 years since i've seen it.

it's annoying as fuck they've been stuck in Bruce Timm mode since Batman: The Animated Series in 1990

yeah watching this universe develop has been comfy, I hope they keep it up since the last movie was back in the classic DCAU

The Bruce Timm stuff is still the best.

The part where supes BTFOs his whole crew and him was kino as fuck

No it actually wasn't kino , when you put into context the retarded buildup , retarded character motiviations and the subpar action coreography.

They tried to move past Timm and failed, now it's Timm time again but he's past his prime and it probably can't be saved.

sounds like you're an autist bro, sorry.

>you can't kill people and call yourself a hero
>why not? your government does
what did dc comics mean by this

because superman cannot even comprehend people who aren't also gods.

They’re not exactly subtle

The Elite are a middle finger to Marvel anti-heroes. Ultimately, Superman doesn't want to be judge, jury, and executioner.

He's more level-headed and reasonable here than in the DCAU, where Supes was stressed as fuck

>because superman cannot even comprehend people who aren't also gods.
Fuck me. What are you going to do next, quote Kill Bill?

The Elite are the Marvel Anti Heroes like InHumans when not written by Bendis

>The Elite are a middle finger to Marvel anti-heroes
Nah Marvel had nothing to do with it. It was a middle finger to Wildstorm and The Authority

Was it kino?

Superhero comics is still living off of the legacies of Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns. Those two comic books were the exception but the industry tried to make them the norm. What we got initially was Image and their edgy crap. Now superhero comics has adopted an extreme far left narrative and its all because of two comic books that are over 30 years old. The sooner comics books die, the better.

Nope. It was transformed into act 1 of an overall masterpiece of kinography though.

>The Elite are a middle finger to Marvel anti-heroes.
Nice try, Zoomy.

Bats and his rogues gallery are the only likeable DC characters

I like how stressed Superman was in the Justice League cartoon. It the most relatable the character has ever been

Whats your opinion on the comic book Descender that Image puts out?

Yes.

I'd say Superman was act 1 since all the major plot points in Justice League started there

>likeable
The side characters drag everything through the garbage though. Batman head to head against ANY batman villain is pure unadulterated kino but when he has to mix humanity with the capeshit its crap.

Yeah it did pull that far back a lot of the time. Act 1.5ish then.

too bad the arc with Luthor being president came out years ago

>Do you know how much power I'd have to give up to be president?

Doomsday fights like a pissed off redneck and it's hilariously based
Through the whole movie he was absolutely seething at no one in particular

While were on the topic of animated capeshit, Ultimate Avengers is the best flash animated kino and better than the live action

>to Marvel anti-heroes.
not just marvel anti-heroes just the edgy dark heroes of the 90s in general. Like when batman was replaced by edgy batman, and diana was replaced by edgy artemis, because writers thought readers wanted edgier stuff.

Sci-Fi Debris already covered this. 90s anti-heroes and Rob Liefeld are just scapegoats. Ultimately, what killed comics were a list of shady business deals and stupid collector nonsense that caused the industry to crash. There's also too much drama going on with Bryne, Shooter, and all the other classics that made things worse.

Watchmen was a success because Alan Moore was the most well adjusted writer in comics at the time.
