Alita tickets shows the same, except one theater has no showings today or tomorrow, but four standard each day from Friday to next Thursday. It's just a cache file for the icons. It's moderately useful for other macs, but it's fluff for anyone else. You can turn it off in MacOS if you want, but most users don't know or care about it. If you look at the environment Alita and Stinger and Screwhead are racing through they're in a market areas. Markets tend to produce a lot of garbage. Having a trash compactor there isn't that unreasonable. That particular type, yes, but a trash compactor, not so much

He has specifically stated during the final dialogue that Alita and Ido will not be persecuted by Factory, so he either has authority over it, or at least can cover up a murder of an official and destruction of a bunch of Centurions and a Deckman.

The eyes was a major turn off for a lot of people, and that being the people that even saw it, since there wasn't much marketing to speak of.
The idea that outlets are saying it needs to make 500 million to break even is fucking laughable. The Ghostbusters reboot, which had a goddamn insane marketing campaign behind it, supposedly "needed" 500 million to break even, and Sony themselves said 400 was the point. I know this isn't the best comparison, but no way Alita needs more than 350 to be profitable. It has made money.

Depends on what you're really looking for. I'd say really try to look out for Rosa somewhere in the bar scene. Anywhere in the background, any of the girls in there. That, and just be on the look out for any dialogue that may come back later. Every line matters. Have fun user!

Not exactly like the Rocky Horror Picture Show with regard to audience participation, but having an annual event where we sit just quietly and watch the movie - and then perhaps go out for an optional meal to talk about it - sounds good.
I do think Alita broke even, especially with the very little marketing, and the supposed Texas tax rebates factored in. The thing about the Ghostbusters reboot is that audiences hated it. Also I wonder if all the media schmoozing for Ghostbusters had been factored into the marketing budget for the movie, or if they hid those losses other places in the general studiio budget.

Odin's movie blog's calculations is guestimating 430 million as the Sexual Mark, but that's only because he wants to be fair and uses the same standard for all movies no matter where they were shot, and how they were marketed, and where they made their profits. He uses the 60% box office take, but that needs to be adjusted down for Alita because it made such a large chunk of its box office in China. It did, however, spend less on marketing than other movies. It had the Texas tax rebate. And then you have wildcards like those Chinese guys straight up donating part of the box office to the studio because they want a sequel.
I'm not against what Odin is doing, because he needs to cover a lot of movies and be fair with them - lest he's blamed for being arbitrary - but I think the Sexual Mark might already have been reached.
