>There’s a picture floating around the Internet, as pictures often do, that showsKathleen Kennedy, president of Lucas Films, standing with three women. They’re all wearing t-shirts that say, “The Force is Female.”
>The t-shirts were part of a marketing campaignby Nike. They had nothing to do withStar Wars. They were part of a campaign to get more women to wear Air Force One shoes, probably the greatest athletic sneakerever made.
>Nike’s “The Force is Female” has nothing to do withStar Wars. If it did, they would have a photo of Aunt Beru wearing a pair of minty fresh Air Force Ones. They don’t. I’ve looked.
Hmm, maybe don't take such a confusing picture for a sneaker company then?
Lincoln Carter
>he t-shirts were part of a marketing campaignby Nike. They had nothing to do withStar Wars. So Disney chose not to enforce its trademarks and intellectual property? Yeah, that sounds like Disney, they dont' really care about stuff like that. /s
Joseph Cook
Lmao. Do people really buy this shit?
Lucas Martinez
It's just cute feel good bullshit nobody takes really seriously. Just like Superman pyjamas for babies.
Makes sense, since the font is not actually using SW ones. First time I've seen this shit was on a RLM video I think. Doesn't matter really, since this is all just more fuel for people picking fights over the internet that has nothing to do with the product in hand.
Still , shit feels like stars aligning or people that know will be misunderstood, like people saying that "Let the past die" now isn't relevant when everyone was using it as a way to discredit the original trilogy and prequels in favor of Rian's vision while killing off all original SW characters, because of JJ now backtracking and everyone is claiming that it was supposed to be ignored because it was Kylo Ren hammering it to the audience.
Like 98% of the jedis in the cinematic universe of Star Wars were male The dumb mouse buys the franchise Lol it was female all along lol
Samuel Wood
>disney shills trying to reappeal to the audience they chased out because the trendsters arnt buying anymore
Brody Cox
>I-It's not about Star Wars >We just invited a bunch of Star Wars executives to wear them as part of our marketing campaign because... because... SHUT UP BIGOT Whelp, I'm convinced
Ayden Robinson
>Air Force 1s >athletic sneaker Literally you-fucking-what mate
LMAO at whichever marketing intern dreamed up this failure of an excuse. Jesus fucking christ, is this what the fags at Disney dream up when thinking about damage control? At least their shilling is enough to convince normies, but this lie doesn't even contain a kernel of truth.
Aaron Reyes
Fuck, will Nikeposting be the taxposting of Star Wars?
Ethan Rogers
It's one star wars executive.
And is called networking. Look it up
Dylan Stewart
Doesn't Disney sell t-shirts that say "THE FORCE IS FEMALE"?
Chase Walker
No
James Ortiz
This is a lie. LucasFilm made their own shirts, not sanctioned by Nike, for an event for young women. It's like when the Scientologists have a Michael Jackson themed fundraiser without getting it approved by the Jackson estate.
tl;dr: Stop trying to blame Nike for something that Disney did.
Jaxson Scott
I figured out who the girl with the big milkers was. She was a student at the high school which hosted the "film festival" that Kennedy came to speak at. Shes in college now but her instagram is private.
Wyatt Morgan
Nike or not, it's naive to think Disney didn't give permission. They have a legal obligation to their shareholders to defend their intellectual property. Everyone on a jury would look at this shirt and think of "star wars". Not Air Force One. And Disney would certainly not let the head of Lucas Film wear the shirt in photos to further muddle the distinction if they didn't officially give permission.
Jaxson Watson
>Another version of a “The Force is Female” shirt. This model has probably never watched a Star Wars movie. ripping on women saying they don't watch Star Wars, fucking nice
Colton Collins
I think it's entirely likely that Kathleen Kennedy did this on her own without consulting their IP attorneys. She's the boss, right? Why does she need to ask a lawyer or a marketing expert if it's a good idea to dilute your IP by making up shirts for your "internal" event that people are definitely going to post pictures from on social media.
Because when I think of 'the Force' I think 'Air Force Ones' and not 'Star Wars.'
Aiden Ortiz
gee I wonder why Kathleen Kennedy ever wore that t-shirt must be some kind of coincidence
OP IS A FUCKING RETARD
Ian Miller
That fact doesnt really make a difference.
The mistake Nike made was not realizing that "the force" is seen as a Star Wars thing and that people recognize Air Force Ones as "Air Force Ones".
Camden Hill
Oh wow okay yeah, so that random Nike campaign that no one ever heard about would never be associated with 'The Force' from Star Wars, especially if the openly leftist female producer of the film promoted the obscure shoe campaign by wearing a shirt saying "the force is female" before the opening of the first movie which was known to feature a female jedi main character.
How could anybody ever get confused by that???
Fuck you and your faggot ass damage control; your Star Wars movies are the biggest embarrassment and failure in cinematic history.
lmao as if you'd expect anyone to do the slightest bit of due diligence if it allowed them to continue down the path of hatred that their space wizard movie warned them against you could even tell them the holocaust wasn't real with some poorly photoshopped JPEG and they would probably believe it
Austin Fisher
>probably the greatest athletic sneakerever made. These are the ones that ripped in half on that Duke player, right?
