Coming from someone who has seen every single Marvel Studios movie to date. Aquaman was a breath of fresh air in the capeshit community. I got tired of quips being said every single time something serious happened. I got tired of the retarded jokes that are supposed to relate with the audience on a surface level. Most importantly I just got tired of the same one and done badie Marvel capeshit movie formula. Aquachad had a great plot with a lot of adventure and some love shit thrown in there. It reminded me a lot of a classic action film. Didn’t have to over fucking do it with the comedy... and that’s a mother fucking good thing.
Aquaman was enjoyable, but it was 20 minutes too long and it was full of quips. It was a Marvelized DC flick.

Okay but the quips weren’t over fucking used for example. If it was Marvel Studios that produced this film when Aquaman goes into the water cave to get King Neptune’s trident he would have tripped and fell and said “I meant to do that.” Or when he saw his mother for the first time he would have said “You looked taller on Facebook”. Aquaman was amazing. And I found the action scenes far bigger and better than even IW. But what I didn´t like were the jokes. They were bad, Thor 2 level of bad.
On the contrary, Shazam had great humor. The jokes were amazing and felt natural. I hope they keep that tone on the sequel.
