If build-up is boring, then your story is shit.
The books have ton of build-up that are way more intriguing and cleverly written than this shitshow. Right now this is just a checklist of shit that the writers want to cross off before the big dragon fight.
I do get sick of every season hearing normies say the premiere was boring. It's the same every year. They use the episode to set the stage and every year they're surprised nobody gets beheaded right away.
