After Taris the main character becomes a Jedi. There is a level cap of 20, so if the main character leaves Taris as a level 2 whatever, he can get 18 levels of Jedi.

That´s because they have twisted what diversity is supposed to be so instead of equal oportunity now you have quotas. Still, in the spirit of being fair they could make it work even with quotas, heck, even with terrible actors as long as they put the work on good scripts... but if the creative direction encourages (or force-es) the screenwritters to adress social relevant topics instead of focusing on the characters arcs and narrative forms there is really no helping this.

There has always been structures but a good writter more or less knows how to engage the audience so they won´t notice. I kind of can understand the reasoning behind say Marvel homogenization. It makes sense to keep the aesthetics coherent... that was kind of a rule for IPs for a long time because after a few movies there is expectations and whatnot but once you reach a certain number of movies it´s just becomes derivative.
Disney wars actually completly disregarded the Lucas aesthetic direction for the SW movies and they could have got away with it if they had not attempted to do it while playing the nostalgia card. The new movies could have worked (somehow) if it was another time period and the characters where not related to the OT at all. (or at least there would not be this amount of ranting)

If you mean that the film basically concludes with her encounter and capture of Revan and it's about her events leading up to that, then enh, I guess that's a salvageable film considering the female director focus, and a good enough start for the real movies after that.

Besides, if Bastilla gets her own film, then maybe that'll take the female protag hit and we can get TRUE kino with a male Exile, as well as the already established male Revan.

I'd watch a Bastilla-centered film as long as they are able to portray her character flaw of pride well. I'd even take a discount Bastilla that has a flaw of envy and vainglory where she spends a lot of the film feeling jealous toward and inferior to some seemingly perfect stacy, before her true power has been fully revealed.

Bastila has more plot significance and pathos as a love interest than Carth
Same for Handmaiden and Visas Marr over Atton or Disciple

But they made kotor not canon, even hyperspace travel wasn't invented this far in the past now.
They're keeping the name as a bait, but it's going to be a completely different setting in a non technologically advanced era, without hyperspace travel and possibly without Jedi or Sith even.

It's possible to max out influence, it just requires swapping out the companions frequently and for minor things, a lot of companions too have influence in the same spot, so you should take those 2 and do the objective to get influence.

just think about it---what were the chances that L even posed a threat to Light when he first revealed hiself? He wasn't even certain where he lived.
