I don't see why anyone is worried about Daisy's interview. She can't spoil anything and I'm pretty sure she was talking about Reylo as it is after TLJ. They can't talk about anything as if people have already seen EP IX.

Going by her comments on Reylo her and her other interviews, she doesn't seem to understand much of the subtext or nuance about Reylo or her character. She's just an actress. Clearly Rian and everyone sat her down and explained these things to her and if this is all she got out of it, then she's just dumb.

I think people don't understand that no one is discussing these things with her as if she has a say in it. If she has a problem with it or doesn't understand the story, oh well. She clearly doesn't and Rian and JJ still put all the nuance and subtext there.

She could also be implying that JJ made sure that Kylo was redeemed before Reylo happened which no one seems to be mentioning. Her issue with it seems to be with Kylo post-TLJ getting with Rey. If she's saying "maybe if redemption happens" I think that's obvious.

I think most people started "shipping" Poe/Rey as a bargaining phase because with the introduction of Rose and all they Reylo, it was impossible for even antis to pretend FinnRey was ever going to happen.

That was my thought from the minute I saw the first film. Not a single other actor in the movie felt like they took anything in it seriously. Driver seems to actually want to play the part, for better or worse.

You say that like TFA and TLJ didn't already happen and Reylo didn't become insanely popular afterwards. The entire cast and crew seem to be aware of it and if you watched the Celebration interviews anytime Reylo was mentioned, the crowd went wild.

John Boyega even said "I know what the fans want" and mentioned the "dynamics between Kylo and Rey" and the crowd cheered and he said that he and JJ were on the same page about that. Just today, some anti told John that Reylo and Finnpoe were "racist" on twitter and he told him it's just a movie and he should focus on IRL issues.

This narrative that Reylo is so "controversial" is just false. There are some loud haters, but no one takes them seriously.

I also think it's obvious that Reylo and Kylo's redemption was planned since TFA, I see no reason why they would change that. Especially since JJ said he met with George and George is a HUGE supporter of romantic happily ever afters and even made a movie where the bad guy and good girl get married in the end. It's basically Reylo.

Everything following the fight was exactly what I had wanted from the movie: Kylo and Ren teaming up, the destruction of both the FO and the Resistance, etc. But they fucked that over.
