The only way your taste could be even shittier would be claiming Faile is the best. Nynaeve is the most loyal and selfless woman in the entire series and her entire motivation is to keep the kids from home safe. She also achieves feat unseen in thousands of years and several that have been NEVER achieved before yet she doesn't give a shit about glory and never tries to get recognition.

But even in that book I gave him 1000% props for being a bro to Rand after Thom made a distraction to send them off on their own. No one else had the dragon reborn’s back like Mat did in book 1, and they were fucking DESPERATE on their way to Caemlyn.

Then he turns out to be completely fucking based in the rest of the books, by far the most entertaining character, while Perrin, who was great in book 1, becomes the biggest fag of them all.
