Millions of more people saw the prequels than who ever even heard of some youtuber, years before any of his videos were released, and the majority opinion both of audiences and critics was that the prequels were not good movies. Disney bought Star Wars in 2012. RLM's prequel reviews were first released 2009.

Everyone already thought that the PT sucked long before the Plinkett reviews. The only thing he did was articulate why they were bad in a very lengthy and in depth manner. Most people rather just saw them, thought that they were bad but could t quite explain what it was that was bad about them.
