The quality is dropping, the show is getting shittier even tough there's more financial investment on it, the writing became fanfic tier.

They were able to fool normalfags for two seasons, but now they are obviouslly catching up that there's something wrong, even if they are to dumb to put it in words. If this season wasn't the last one, you would see a serious drop in the 9th one.

You could see how hollow the social media hype was because no one was talking about anything genuinely endemically hype-inducing, they were TRYING to be hype for the little things they just plain didn't push a live+SD craze. By the middle of the season it'll be breaking its viewership records after Winterfell is taken by the Night King or whatever, but it absolutely deserved having the premier fall flat and the loss of potential momentum.
