It's literally just muh empowered women acting like smug cunts and bossing people around, and all "strong male" characters in the show have been brutally killed off (ala Ned Stark, Robb, Stannis, Littlefinger) or turned into pathetic beta male-feminists bowing subservient to women (Jon Snow, Tyrion, Jaime, Reek). They know having one strong male would probably trigger the blue-haired sjw crowd too much so they've either killed them all off or emasculated them (in many cases, literally) so that smug stuck-up STRONK WONEN can lead all the factions in the show and be seen as the powerful leaders and decision makers.

I stopped watching when Arya gets the wishes from the assassin because I was tired of seeing queen Mary Sue be a strong independent cunt that always gets her way even when she had nothing to offer and just acted like a spoiled child. A friend of mine invited me over to watch the latest episode and all I thought through it was "Wow she's still a cunt, I hope she dies." Also even after all the time I didn't watch no one still gives a shit about Gendry even though he seems like the only upstanding human on the show.

Why is this show popular?

You better believe the main """conflict""" of this season (beside the capeshit tier fight against the ice monsters) is Jon realizing he is the true heir to the throne and debates challenging Daenerys for it. In the end he will realize giving up his rights for peace and letting the stronk womyn rule because it's better is the right thing to do.

To be fair, Jon's character was never the power grabbing type. He has been a reluctant hero/leader since day one. He became Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, he fucked it up and left. He became King in the North, he fucked it up and left. Even if he does take the throne, try to guess what will happen. The world doesn't conform to goody two shoes characters. They are doomed to roam around and try to white knight as much as possible without fucking things up too much.

He isn't smug but he definitely isn't acting like a king. Bran is just a creepy cripple now. Most of the side characters seem to have completed their storylines, no longer needed. The only one I'm still interested in is Jaime. Hopefully he can make the show interesting.
