Nah that guy just wasn't Paul Allen, just like how he wasn't Halberstram
that's simply not possible
What about the homeless guy?
Makes sense
Yes
check em
he only killed the homeless beggar, rest were fantasy
Pat didn’t kill anyone. He’s just a sperg.
Are there any prostitute-killing kinos that aren't comedies?
Or maybe the lawyer mistook someone else for Allen, as he confused Bateman with someone else. Bateman seemed to be the only one who knew who was who
Why didn't Mary Harron adapt the zoo scene from the book into the movie?
IT WAS ALL A DREAM
If I take those digits off you, will you Sneed?
Check it out
Too bad he didnt kill these numbers
Detective knew Bateman had killed but knew he could never prove it due to the insulated yuppie circles that Bateman moved in. No one knew anyone really.
why doesn't Bale remove that hideous wart/bump? I want to chop it off and make it into guacaMOLE
Bryce is a chad, Bateman's a fucking sperg who acts like a s o y b o y to hide what he is.
Check em
OP
SQUASH
if Bryce had a better hairline he'd blow Bateman out of the water.
Would he browse Yea Forums or would he be more of a Yea Forums type of guy?
why did his card say "Paul Allen" then?
Yea Forums and /fa/ definitely
if digits I WILL watch american psycho someday and read the book
Detective didn't know shit because nobody knew who was who or what they were doing. Bateman had an alibi he wasn't even aware of because someone else said they were at dinner with him, when he wasn't.
The detective couldn't even figure out the last night Allen was seen or who he had been with
Did he even like huey lewis and the news? Was he just using them to impress Paul?
We're in agreement, user. I'm positing that the detective was aware of all that but also he knew in his gut Bateman was a killer and would never be able to prove shit.
he was trying to fit in.
Doesn't seem right but my digits are always right
hey Paul, check my digits!

GREAT
SEA URCHIN CEVICHE
Just finished rewatching this kino. Bateman killed Allen and the lawyer is just confused since he calls Bateman Davis which proves the lawyer can't keep names straight. The investigator was only suspicious because Bateman dodges questions when they first meet by offering different beverages
Still looking for my digits

Based on the last digit of your portfolio what type of sea urchin ceviche will you get Yea Forums ?
let's eat!
the sixth option please.
Reservation for 2 gents?
>Bateman seemed to be the only one who knew who was who
Remember, Bateman is the author. The whole story illustrates how little these yuppies care about other people. They are constantly getting them mixed up. There is no reason to believe that Bateman didn't get Allen confused with someone else too.
Did Bateman kill Halberstram on accident instead of Allen?
I got a 8:30 res at Dubsia
He got the dubs but trips was just a fantasy.
No sir you were listed for 16:20
That's right sir
Yes sir, the European table time zone
Is this a problem?¿?
I'm on the verge of tears as I scour Yea Forums for a thread of this quality, because I'm positive I'll never find one.
But I do.
And relief washes over me in an... awesome... wave...
IT'S HIP TO BE
Very nice, impressive
he only killed the beggar and his dog, the rest played in his head like a wild fantasy
AAAAAAAAAAHHHH

N-
It's hip to get dubs.
What was the zoo scene?
dubs and i'll do nothing
the book is far more gruesome than the movie, even if it was all a dream or fake they'd still had to find a very awkward way to put said shit in which was probably a no-no from the start.
I know that, but what is the zoo scene in particular?
He would browse reddit because it’s socially acceptable
read the book ;^)
movie aside, it looks pretty depressing being an 80's new york exec type, No real friends or people to rely on just a bunch of crabs in a bucket trying to get over the other guy.
All murders were real, but they were all performed by his Double
I USED TO READ WORD UP MAGAZINE
almost perfect.
That doesn't make any fucking sense
Bateman did kill Paul. The people who were trying to sell his flat found the body, but covered it up because there's no way they'd be able to sell it otherwise
Bateman was such a fucking loser that the only way he could cope with his soul crushing job and lifestyle was to construct elaborate fantasies about murder and say edgy things just to fish for a reaction.
Because BEE couldn't write a book against consumerism without adding murder to draw in an audience.
Give me a number 9, por favor
You thinking you got it was just a fantasy.
I mean the same could be true the other way with the lawyer confusing someone else for Allen when he thought he saw him. Lawyer was a yuppie too.
I always assumed the lawyer was covering for Bateman by how sharp he is with him when explaining he met Paul.
Anyone have the junji ito check em edit? Asking for a friend (me)
Bateman incorrectly identifies a man as paul allen in the very first scene
I'll take double 2s
Maybe. I think the lawyer genuinely confused someone for Paul Allen in London
I mean that's possible. I always felt like part of the ending was that even if people know Bateman is a serial killer everyone gives so few fucks that they'll just cover it up to benefit themselves. It's not just that everyone is clueless, it's the lowkey sociopathy everyone has
No can do! Got an 8:30 rez with Jannie
It's been awhile but I'll explain
In the book he goes to the zoo and kidnaps a child and murders him. He regrets it not because it was immoral, but because it wasn't evil enough
"This confession has meant nothing."
"Do it yourself, nigger. "
Cool it with the racial remarks, Bateman.
>nigger
>faggots
Damn, the movie was a lot more censored, huh?
Like how the estate agents just wanted hin out and cleaned us the bodies because it would earn them fat commission money
Do you,... wish to try your other credit card sir?
To be fair the movie just barely got by with an R-Rating. the Orgy scene got the film an NC-17 and had to trim at least 15 seconds of that. The Niggers and Faggots probably wouldn't have helped its case
"Would you be quiet I'm trying to do drugs in here"
"FUCK YOU! THE FAGGOT IN THE NEXT STALL!!"
this is fantastic. I should read it.
I THINK DORSIA SUCKS
The point is that Bateman really did kill them, but as a result of the insulated and individualistic nature of the yuppies he was surrounded with, no one cared to notice. The doubt introduced near the end I believe is meant either to indicate that Bateman had became overwhelmed and confused by the social circle he was in, or his acknowledgement of his own self-obsession and insularity, thus sparking consideration that he had just thought it all up.
I haven't read the book and I'm a pleb though so I'm probably way off, feel free to call me a retard
This is accurate.
This is one of the more popular endings people believe. But then again, the author wants it to be open to interpretation. Check 'em
check'em

>Aquismons
Are dubs even real?
Like this
They are only an entity. Something illusory.
Based
At least in the book he isn't sure of who people are because they all look the same.
Mediocre
Very nice
What are you saying it looks awesome. Always people and parties to hang out in, looking good and having hot bitches to fuck. In one of the most stylish settings to ever exist in history. What more could you ask for?
