Theres nothing ironic about liking stannis. He was denied his kingship but we still have 5 episodes of hope left for him to come back

he didn't killed shiree and he is the only one out of the 5 kings left. plus he has davos and melisandre which is better than any sidekick.

He was mostly the stoic straightman of the story until the witch fucks it all up. He's the guy that would end up king if he lived in a world without fantasy magic. He literally had the best army, a rightful claim, and was a god tactician.

He's also a great actor, and more sympathetic in the books.

because no one will see my story in this doomed thread:

>only familiar with GoT through the South Park parody
>watch S1E1
>okay I'll finish the season
>finish season 1
>wow South Park led me to expect ay more cocks

He's referring to the books. It's very obvious that if Martin actually finished the next book, Stannis would defeat the Boltons and if Shireen is burned Stannis will have nothing to do with it.

Jon Snow found out that he was a Targaryen

at the same time he found a great friendship with Jaime

Probably literally just a throw back to the origins of the series. A one and done. Maybe more Greyworm dicklessly pleasuring fine dark honeys, and “northern” girls too

are they just going to ignore the logistics problem they brought up for the rest of the show?

How do you feed all these people with tiny winterfel supplies? They didn't even answer the dragon feeding question, they just quipped "anything they want" as if that put the question to rest. What the fuck.

Why wasn't the best character in the premiere?

I like him so much

Ye this is unironically going to be worse than last season. I have no idea how stupid normies can look at this retarded shit and actually enjoy it. The writing looks like a 12 year old fanfiction, the plot is more simple and predictable than capeshit, stupid quips everywhere, acting is a joke, forced feminist PC trash everywhere, everything is boring CGI, show feels more like a high school play than a tv-show.

There is no way actually competent people working for a legit tv-company could make something this bad without trying. I'm convinced GoT is some kind of social experiment on how much horseshit u can make normies swallow if you get them on the bandwagon.

No one is forcing you to watch it, incel

They probably won't be in winterfel long enough for it to be an issue. I imagine that the army of the dead will be there within a week so the problem will solve itself. A lot of people are going to die and they'll probably lose winterfel anyway so they just added the line because urgency I guess??

>Jon, Daenerys, her armies and her dragons arrive at Winterfell.
>Jon reunites with his family.
>Daenerys is introduced to Jon's family.
>meeting in the great hall of Winterfell where Northern Lords show their resentment towards Jon and Daenerys
>Lord Glover abandons the fight
>Sansa tells Tyrion he is a fucking idiot
>it's established that the dragons don't have enough to eat
>Jon rides Rhaegal
>Jon and Daenerys make out, which further establishes their relationship and is build up to the parentage reveal and fallout
>Euron brings Harry Strickland and the Golden Company to Kingslanding
>no elephants
>Cersei fucks Euron and their strange dynamic is explored
>Tormund, Beric, and Edd discover that dead Ned Umber in weird White Walker symbol
>Theon breaks Yara out and they go their separate ways
>Jaime arrives at Winterfell and encounters Bran Stark
>Daenerys and Sam meet and she tells him about what she did to the Tarly's
>Sam reveals to Jon his parentage

The northerners are racist

He's a literal and metaphoric cuck in that while he has the most technical right to the throne, absolutely no one wants him to have the throne. This is in line with the average Yea Forums/r*ddit faggot's incel beliefs that despite being eternally cucked, they are entitled to some higher reward. In Stannis, they see themselves.

"Right to have the throne" is highly debatable. Whether the three Baratheon brothers or three Targaryen's have a right to the throne, is a matter of opinion.

Memes aside, how do you think it will end?

I thought that the Randyll/Dickon execution last season was just bad writing, but it seems to have a purpose, to show that Dany was a bad queen.

This conversation between Sam and Jon reinforces that, it seems that Jon will become the king in the end, what do you think?

It's amazing how many characters with terrible actors are at the center of the show, and how many characters with good actors it killed off.

>Stannis and Night King never seen in the same scene
>Night King becomes more prominent after Stannis's death
>the Lord of Light led him astray in life so he embraces the cold in his death to bring judgement upon the accursed immoral living that shunned him during his conquest

This episode was pretty much danny being a selfish cunt.

It's been out for hours, retard.

Umber went back to his castle. Army of the Dead killed everybody. Tormund, Beric, and Edd all met at Umber's castle (which is between the Wall and Winterfell) and find Umber in that weird spiral the White Walkers use.

What that spiral means, I have no clue.

>Why? Just to have a Targaryen heir? I hope that this series at least ends by breaking the cycle of shitty monarchs leading shitty wars.

The people will need somebody to help them recover.

I've looked on put locker and it isn't there

>All Northmen are called to Winterfell in strategic retreat
>Little Lord Umber asks for extra wagons and horses to aid his retreat
>Little Lord Umber is given the support he asks for but is also told to go do it himself using his own House personnel
>later on two teams respectively under the command of Edd and Tormund find each other in the vacant non-ruins of Last Hearth, nearly coming to blows (I can't remember if they were part of the same force sent into Last Hearth or found each other there)

the unsullied march like fucking idiots, waddling along with 8-inch steps

>why the fuck did tormund, beric and nightswatch dude were there?
all those fags were left at Castle Black when the Night King attacked the wall, so they basically fled. House Umber is further north than Winterfell, and they were among the first to be attacked. probably got rekt by the dead army while Lord Umber was in Winterfell asking for more resources, and when he returned to his castle they were all dead/under attack. you can see a bunch of blood everywhere but no bodies, suggesting all the Umbers were killed and then became undead soldiers

Have sex change

Holy shit this

guys please give a link (that isn't behind a pay wall) so I can watch it

in-universe, if Jon came out and say he was a Targ now literally nobody would ever believe him so what's the point in proclaiming it to Dany anyway

>I thought that the Randyll/Dickon execution last season was just bad writing, but it seems to have a purpose, to show that Dany was a bad queen.

I thought the execution was perfectly justified and fine.

>This conversation between Sam and Jon reinforces that, it seems that Jon will become the king in the end, what do you think?

Jon trying to usurp Daenerys based on the Tarly executions is retarded and hypocritical. Why take exception to that when Jon has executed somebody for an even less offense? Also, the timing is terrible for a succession crisis.

>This episode was pretty much danny being a selfish cunt.

Why? Because people she never met automatically assume that she is bad? Because Sam is upset that she executed his traitorous, oath-breaking family?

No, the episode makes Daenerys look bad for people who already hates Daenerys. The fact that she went North to save everybody's lives is lost to Daenerys haters.

When is this split supposed to happen between Jon and Daenerys? According to frikidoctor, the battle for Winterfell takes place in episode three. The attached gif from the trailer shows Daenerys at Dragon Stone. Jon was also in the scene with her. So, are Jon and Daenerys going to try to kill each other in the last three episodes? When the Night King (maybe) and Cersei are still around?

Y'all Dany haters are really trying to force your theory that everybody will try to betray her.

He is the most boring, generic, white character in the game who does nothing but fight shit because he 'thinks' hes in the right when he isnt.

Thats why /po- i mean Yea Forums likes him.

He follow his duty, no matter what. He has morals and tradition, a sense of order and structure, which is why nihilistic lefties like you hate him.

There wasn't much of that in this episode, at least.

>sansa asking legit question about logistics
>danny is lol who cares, dragons will eat anything

She also got exposed by fatfuck tarly, up until now she's been hellbent on being queen and ruling first and saving people second.

>let's burn unarmed prisoners
>let's not temporarily hold dickon hostage to ensure tarly loyalty

>Why?
laughs off legitimate logistical problems with a smug quip, threatens jon's cousin, all around acts like a cunt

>his duty
Based entirely upon false claims and his own arbitrary rules furthered by a literal mad witch. He was literally going to be Mad King 2.0. Hell her and Dany would get a hard on together burning everyone for the lols.

if you're a commie or a 3rd worlder you hate him because you hate the rule of law and order. instead of following what's written you make shit up as you go and get corrupted over time.

of course that is stannis's story. he was once that and he gets corrupted as the story progresses because the writers are fucking autistic and think jon/dany screentime is good writing

He followed the rules established by the kings of ages past. It was the lannisters and others who failed their responsibilities.

>He followed the rules established by the kings of ages past

Sansa wasn't "just" asking questions about provisions and logistics. Sansa was being completely snide, especially when talking about the dragons, and Daenerys responded in kind.

Sansa had a valid complaint, but she was being catty about it.

>let's not temporarily hold dickon hostage to ensure tarly loyalty

In the seconds between Dickon walking next to his dad and both of them being executed, did Randyll lose his tongue? Did he say, "Stop! Never mind! I'll bend the knee?"

Your hostage situation makes no sense at first glance, even ignoring that Tarly's forces were also there and faced the same punishment their lords did.

See the top of my post. You people are even dumber than the Northern lords, because you know for a fact that it's a zombie apocalypse and that Daenerys is trying to offer a lifeline, but you still hate her and everything she does.

Nah, dude, The North will just fight the Army of the Dead without the dragons, dragon glass, and tens of thousands of soldiers that Daenerys brings. Too many mouths to feed.

By the way, if Sansa, the person who fed a prisoner of war alive to dogs with no trial or anything, tries to criticize Daenerys for executing prisoners of war, I will be pissed the fuck off.

lol, no. In a world without fantasy magic he would have lost to the guy who's superior charisma granted him an army 5 times bigger then his' (Renly).

It always weirds me out how much people fellate Stannis. I like the character but people act like he got screwed out of winning by acts of God when his losses were all pretty legitimate. It wasn't God that made the Tyrells show up at King's Landing. Yea Forums backs him because he's a bitter autist but if you took all the fantastical elements out of the series you'd still have the fact that having charisma and likability counts just as much as being smart in the real world.

>It is nothing. There is no meaning, no purpose. We murder. We kill. It is mindless savagery, this UNIVERSE IS MINDLESS! In mere hours, thousands will die. Innocent! Guilty! Strong and weak! No, in the books he names his wife's son after Tyrion and cerci tries to have him killed kek

See this:

I'm not a girl and I'm not a feminist. I'm just not going to demonize one woman for doing something that other men and women did.

Tell me why it's okay for Jon to execute Janos for refusing to obey orders, Sansa to execute a prisoner of war with no trial or anything, and for Stannis to execute dozens of people for various reasons, but it's not okay for Daenerys to execute traitorous oath-breakers (the Tarly's were sworn to the Tyrell's, who were sworn to Daenerys).

>i don't care if she's offering a lifeline because she's unlikable as a fictional character

Then fucking say that then. That's why I don't get Daenerys haters. Just admit that you don't like the character. Don't praise others for doing something, then bash her for doing the same thing.

You start with the premise that you hate her, and view everything in that light. It clouds your judgment.

>Because they needed dragon rides!

Of course. Were the other dragons just for show since season 1? Is Jon supposed to ride a dragon at the last possible minute? Show Jon riding a dragon and make the scene enjoyable. No problems from me.

Well that surprisingly wasn't shit I liked the part where the undead shota went ree

Even Jon agreed that Sansa was just being a smartass just because. Why is she complaining about more fighting men? Why is she complaining to Tyrion when it’s Jon’s fucking job to get all that figured out since it’s his people housing everyone and he invited them North, but Sansa is just showing her open disdain for Tyrion’s side from the first moment she’s on screen even when they try to be nice to her.

Really a girl with her upbringing should be like Margaery who can keep a lid on it, but she’s just a cunt like her mentor Cersei who just says shit for the sake of annoying people she hates.

Strawman argument.

There have been dragons since season 1. Did you not expect a scene where Jon rides a dragon? Serious question.

ok maybe I'll watch this season anyway

>Jon rides a dragon
>"You've completed ruined horses for me"
what did he mean by this

>The Wildlings are at camp, showering Jon with gifts and the songs of their people
>Jon smiles, enjoying this valuable cultural experience
>A cry is heard in the distance
>Suddenly, the camera pans to the thundering stampede of a thousand men on horses
>We see Stannis driving the men to fight by cracking a flaming whip
>"FORM RANKS, YOU DOGS"
>In the distance, Wildling women and children are burning, the soundtrack a high screaming wail
>"TAKE THE WOMEN FOR OUR THRALLS," Stannis shouts, "FEED THE BABES TO THE FIRES"
>"Yes," cries Davos, "R'hllor hungers!"
>Jon looks on, his face grief-stricken
>"Seven save us," Jon whispers, "he's even making the women and children pay the Iron price!"
>After defeating the Wildlings, Stannis meets Jon on top of the Wall
>"You're the oathbreaking bastard that killed the Halfhand and copulated with a savage Wildling. You're just like your retarded brother and useless father, a traitor and an oathbreaker. Give me one reason why I shouldn't behead you."
>"I'm the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch!" Jon pleads
>"Davos come here," Stannis beckons
>Davos asks "Your grace?"
>Stannis pushes Davos off the Wall.
>"Melisandre, quickly, get my guards. Lord Snow killed my Onion Knight."

He shits on law and order just as much as anyone else when it suits him. Stannis is all about muh lawfool claim but he didn't give a fuck about the King and rightful claims when he was helping his brother overthrow the rightful king in a civil war. The entire Baratheon nobility was built upon flauting law when convenient.

WHERE THE FUCK IS GHOST

>moments before the final battle against the night king's army

wtf hbo

I also liked how the Stokeworths wanted to name the rapebaby Tywin.

>he didn't give a fuck about the King and rightful claims when he was helping his brother overthrow the rightful king in a civil war.
But he did. He hesitated a long time before picking Robert.

okay but how is she going to feed everyone

Everything before Sam appeared was shit, everything after was kino.

>he hesitated a long time before choosing to break the law

They can go outside and eat the snow!

Attached: game-of-thrones-craster[1].jpg (640x422, 35K)

Stannis doesn't give a speech about breaking the wheel while pretending he isn't a part of it.

You said he didn't give a shit. If he didn't give a shit he wouldn't have hesitated. His hesitation was the reason Robert gave him the shit island.

Nah, guys love him because he's the honor and duty guy. He's the one who actually comes to the wall when the NW calls for aid because a king should protect the realm.
In the show he burned his daughter though so that sucks.

Book Stannis is great though
>Her own father got this child on her? We are well rid of her then. I will not suffer such abominations here. This is not King's Landing

Every single time he mumbles about muh duty mofugga that is exactly what he's doing

That's legitimately a problem. Acting like a catty bitch when presenting that problem, doesn't help in the slightest.

>several ancient major noble houses are completely extinct because there's 2 or 3 members max in all of them and nobody has cousins or distant relatives to carry on the name

He didn't give a shit because giving a shit would be taking a stand for his fucking king, not hmm-hahing for awhile and then betraying him anyway.

He was the vassal of Robert. He chose his liege over his liege's liege, which is a murky area.

yet it's a problem that just gets glossed over in a hall full of people doubting the alliance

Can someone remind me if Sansa is a virgin or not? I forgot.

spiral you say

Attached: IMG_3526.jpg (264x179, 18K)

By eating less. It’s the fucking apocalypse, deal with it. Your other option is tell eveyone to go home and you get turned into zombies.

>jorah comes to north
>in the same room as lady mormont
>not a single scene together with them

why do I even bother with this shitshow?

>giving a shit would be taking a stand for his fucking king
Robert was the ruler of the Stormlands. If he didn't follow him he would be betraying his liege and the law anyhow.

Not to the King getting, which is the person that makes the laws of the land.

>Stannis doesn't give a speech about breaking the wheel while pretending he isn't a part of it.

But Stannis does give speeches about being righteous and just, even though burns people alive for believing in the wrong gods, practices kinslaying and indulges in blood magic.

>yet it's a problem that just gets glossed over in a hall full of people doubting the alliance

It's a problem that's presented. The scene ends after the question was asked, implying that there is no real solution. Then there is a follow-up scene that shows that the dragons don't have enough to eat.

It's a problem. There isn't an immediate solution. Why do you keep asking the same question? There is not enough food.

There is no law in westeros that says if your lord tries to kill the king you must aid him in killing the king. This is some pretty crazy reaching buddy.

>keeping with tradition and being honest
>saying you'll destroy tradition while doing otherwise
one thing isn't like the other

And what would they talk about?
>I'm that uncle who shamed the family and ran off before you were born so now you have to deal with this shitshow instead of having a childood.
>Great! I'm 9 years old.

it's actually fucking stupid because they're going to end up having ANOTHER battle for winterfell. in the books that would mean two consecutive battles in consecutive volumes.

so in the books they'll probably just abandon the north entirely in a literary subversion and flee via White Harbour or something.

twyin didn't care much for honor

basically. or just acknowledge jorah as a fucking northerner instead of dany's bitch

If two characters interact for the first (or long time), it's filler or fanservice. If they don't, the episode is rushed.

There is no winning with this community.

Do you think Cersei was interested in seeing the elephants' cocks?

We've had more dicks than we've had displays of vulva. Bush doesn't fucking count.

Because his duty is to his family first, He didn't like Robert but the fought with him because Robert was his brother.
He sat on Roberts council because that's what was asked of him by his older brother and king, when Robert died Stannis who didn't even want to be king felt the need to take on the task anyway because it's his duty to his family.

In the books he leaves Shireen behind at the wall because there's no point in becoming king if not for the Baratheon family.
Renly was the youngest brother and had no claim to the throne while Stannis was alive.

Bran is watching

Lannisters are jews who only care about giving off the illusion of noble qualities and don't want to actually embody them. They are textbook sophists.

Nothing says "keeping with tradition" like burning people alive for having the wrong religion, kinslaying and blood magic.

Stannis is a real traditionalist, until it becomes inconvenient. Just because he claims to uphold the law, doesn't mean that he does.

Ned was a pretty easy-going guy and he still called him a traitor and a slaver while wanting his head cut off. He is a capable dude but is indeed Dany's bitch. He hasn't been in the North since who knows when. Could have had at least a scene where Jon pardons his crimes to the North or something before stepping down.

DABID and Weiss cucked him because they loved the faggot Renly.

>okay for Jon to execute Janos for refusing to obey orders
Because he took the black and swore an oath to obey the the lord commander and he was a coward not suited to fight and a known traitor.
> Sansa to execute a prisoner of war
>pow
nigga the war was done and the war was about killing that dude in the first place faggot.

>Daenerys to execute traitorous oath-breakers
they never swore to Dany, they were sworn to house Tyrell, which was effectively a dead house with no one alive to carry the name and who betrayed the crown faggot.

Remember the six million Children of the Forest

There's no fucking constitution in a feudal kingdom you bufoon. Betraying your liege or your king are dishonorable anyhow.

Everything is secondary to Stannis taking the throne, which he has to do as he is the awful heir(even considering jon snow, after the rebellion the main line was replaced by the baratheon line which had decent from the targarians) his whole character is reluctantly being forced to fulfill this duty. The King of the seven kingdoms is the foundation for all other laws and taboos to even exist, decrees outlawing them aren't legitimate if the ruler isn't legitimate.

I BEND THE KNEE

I haven't watched it yet but I just want to know one thing, does based Jamie get much screentime and does the fact dragon bitch burned Sam's asshole dad and Chad brother to death come up?

Bran's autism is the only thing keeping me slightly interested in the show.

just go to the nearest feed and seed

First question no but the best part of the episode has him in it. Second question yes.

probably not
haven't watched it though

>does based Jamie get much screentime
No
>does the fact dragon bitch burned Sam's asshole dad and Chad brother to death come u
Yes.

Do people actually know that Bran is basically a god or do they just think he's weird

What spoilers, someone got them? I honestly forgot this show was even coming back till a week ago.

How good was /GOT/ general circa 2011-2013 compared to now?

Made me think of this for some reason.

They don't care, they are too busy being millennial inserts in a fantasy show. The acting of the younger characters is so fucking bad they don't even feel like they are playing characters. Especially the three roasties. The body language and cinematography alone is enough to pull you out of the whole show. When sansa and dany had that mean girls glare at the beginning of the episode I knew this whole season would be next level shlock.

>Yara knocks theon to the floor for no reason

Fucking women power bullshit

Jon fucked Dany again

>Story somehow less pozzed than current state.
>Story-arcs flowed and made sense, despite dumb 'subverted expectations' narratives being woven.
>Exposed titty levels are about the same.
>Less smug women in charge, more traditional waifus present and yet to be murdered.

>Because he took the black and swore an oath to obey the the lord commander and he was a coward not suited to fight and a known traitor.

Your point? The Tarly's swore an oath and broke it. They were given a choice and refused.

>nigga the war was done and the war was about killing that dude in the first place faggot.

The war was about getting Winterfell back from the Boltons. Killing a prisoner of war afterwards was an act of pure vengeance.

If everybody used your logic, Westeros would look a lot different at this point. Houses would be destroyed far more often as acts of revenge.

>they never swore to Dany, they were sworn to house Tyrell, which was effectively a dead house with no one alive to carry the name and who betrayed the crown faggot.

The Tarly's swore to the Tyrell's. The Tyrell's swore to Daenerys Targaryen. Therefore, the Tarly's sacking Highgarden is an act of TREASON. Stop trying to ignore this because it doesn't help your argument.

>NOW POST TITS

Just because you are retarded, doesn't mean I have tits. Your only argument is "But I don't like the other people who were executed, so it's fine!"

Then he is not a traditionalist. If he will break tradition to get what he wants, he's not a traditionalist. If he changes traditions to suit his own needs, being a "traditionalist" is absolutely meaningless.

Plenty of other people waged wars throughout Westerosi history without using bloodmagic or killing non-believers. Stannis isn't a traditionalist.

is this the only one you had? iirc there's for s3 and s4

Please tell me he gets genuinely pissed and doesn't just accept it like a cuck. I know the dad hated him but it's still his dad, and he seemed to still have a good relationship with his Chad brother.

RIP Ned Jr.

What does this series have against Neds?

I've got a few of them

Attached: 1385355197210.png (659x952, 137K)

I think it's ended up like this solely because there's been no planning ahead from the writers in a long time. For example now with Littlefinger gone we'll supposedly get a bunch of scenes with that terrible Robin actor instead in order to wrap things up in the Vale.

Jesus Christ they need to stop trying to do comedy, it's the cringiest fucking shit. The only joke that didn't fall completely flat was the purple wedding one.

Tbh if they had Jaime executed next episode, it’d probably win some points with the Northern Lords. They all hate him anyways and he cant be trusted, unless you’re Tyrion.

Didn't he cowardly abandon her before she got captured?

>darkstar

based

when is he appearing in the show?

You're in for a treat then. He starts crying like a bitch and then runs and spills the beans to Jon about what she did and who Jon's real parents are

who?

but muh marvel formula! whedon!!

Jesus christ I forgot how Bran developed autism in the last season.

He's gonna die of pox before he gets north.

How many years have I wasted in this shithole

It's pretty obvious thatBran will save him.

Based. He's such a bitch I wouldn't have put it past DABID and DABID to make him just accept it like a cuck. though they'll properly have both him and Jon just get over it later anyway because dragon cunt can't do no wrong.

I'm not the once who used the word "traditionalist" you seem to be autistically hung up on. Regardless, it is pretty traditional to fulfill your duty and restore order to the seven kingdoms by taking your rightful place on the throne, even if that means reluctantly breaking taboos. He is forced to do things the doesn't want to by the hierarchy of duty, again nothing is more important than having the legitimate heir in charge. he doesn't have the luxury of saying "that's too far" and isn't naive enough to just pull a generic good guy "we will find another way"

The whole point of his character is that it was never about "what he wants" or "his own needs" but the needs of the seven kingdoms he has a duty to furfil. he's reluctant throughout his entire journey, he isn't scheming for power. The best part about him is he isn't even misguided, he's literally the rightful claimant to the throne because danny still hasn't conquered the baratheon dynasty and officially codified a new one.

I think it was cooler because the show was better and not every plotline tying together.

There were more loose ends, I could post some dumb shit like "Darkstar = Hot Pie" and it would be funny because god knows what would even happen to these characters, but now there's no Darkstar and no Hot Pie anymore, so it's not as funny.

>2 weeks until the first Sapichnik episode
End me.

i bend the knee

I'm dropping this shit right then and there if that happens, I don't give a fuck how much time I've wasted on this trash.

Sam flat-out tells Jon that she isn't the rightful ruler when telling him about his parents. Jon says "that's treason lol she our queen".

>but muh marvel formula! whedon!!

Thank fucking god. Also Night King is an edgy faggot.

Stannis doesn't give a speech about BREAKING THE WHEEL while pretending he isn't a part of it.

Stannis is scheming for power. He killed his brother because it would help his war to claim the throne. He burned people in ritual blood magic sacrifices, because he thought it would help his quest for the throne. He wanted to sacrifice his nephew to aid in his quest.

Somebody with so little scruples like Stannis, is not somebody to follow. He will do every underhanded thing in the book to get the throne, but when he does succeed, he's just going to stop doing underhanded things?

The rightful heir crap doesn't matter if the Lannisters are on the throne.

>The Tarly's swore an oath
that's not the same as taking the black, they swore their loyalty to house tyrell, specifically lord tyrell....they are both dead.
>Killing a prisoner of war afterwards was an act of pure vengeance.
are you being purposely obtuse miss?
Sansa and jon wanted revenge on the boltons, they were never gonna let him live and there is no need for a trial. THERE WAS ALREADY A BATTLE that decided his guilt.
And regardless what did randyll tarly do to dany that is comparable to what the boltons did to the starks, specifically what ramsay did to sansa?
>If everybody used your logic, Westeros would look a lot different at this point.
> Houses would be destroyed far more often as acts of revenge.

>The Tarly's swore to the Tyrell's. The Tyrell's swore to Daenerys Targaryen.
The tyrells were gone user, it was just lady olena left and she sided against the crown so by westerosi law house tarlly was going to be a traitor one way or another.

>that's not the same as taking the black, they swore their loyalty to house tyrell, specifically lord tyrell....they are both dead.

That doesn't matter. An oath is an oath, and the Lady of Highgarden is Olenna Redwyne Tyrell. They committed treason and paid the price.

>are you being purposely obtuse miss?

Come up with a better insult.

>Sansa and jon wanted revenge on the boltons, they were never gonna let him live and there is no need for a trial. THERE WAS ALREADY A BATTLE that decided his guilt.

None of that makes sense. Daenerys wanted revenge on the Tarly's. THERE WAS ALREADY A BATTLE that decided their guilt.

>And regardless what did randyll tarly do to dany that is comparable to what the boltons did to the starks, specifically what ramsay did to sansa?

Catastrophically fuck up her conquest of Westeros, you fucking mouth-breather.

>Not when the house is the won that won the fucking war. Robert's rebellion fucktard.

Robert's Rebellion resulted in innocent babies getting their heads bashed in. Was that justifiable to you as well, because Robert won the war? Try again, retard.

>The tyrells were gone user, it was just lady olena left and she sided against the crown so by westerosi law house tarlly was going to be a traitor one way or another.

What are you talking about Westerosi laws for when the closest one to a Baratheon we have left is a bastard? Then there is Daenerys and Jon.

You are going only by conquest, because Cersei has no right to be queen by blood.

>how is it scheming if by law it is yours?

What's going on in Dorne and Highgarden now that their lords are all dead?

Let’s consider dorne deleted

Dragonglass is just obsidian, which forms from rhyolite. You can melt it down.

That's not an argument. Just because Stannis legitimately thought that ruling was his duty, doesn't excuse his actions. If Daenerys started burning people alive because they believed in the wrong god, this sub would lose their shit.

fucking kek'd
what were they thinking?

Well she burned Sam's dad and brothers alive, yet people praise Dany as perfect because shitty writing

where?

Robert didn't even want to be king, but others forced him into it. He's probably too dumb and worldly to see the point of struggling like Stannis does who himself doesn't even have lust for power motive. He would have a "just give it to whoever" mentality with the limit of his insight being "but not to a targ because they go crazy"

I'm pretty certain Stannis wouldn't go though the effort dany does to assert a du jure claim to the throne if his line were legally usurped and the targ line restored by dany or some shit.

I found myself cringing at the dialogue between daenarys and sansa

He spent the whole night waiting outside top fucking kek

Attached: topkek.jpg (600x539, 35K)

>Well she burned Sam's dad and brothers alive, yet people praise Dany as perfect because shitty writing

She is called out on that WHILE IT WAS HAPPENING, called out on it afterwards, and called out on that at the end of the last episode. It was treated as a questionable action in the show, but you think "Dany is a Mary Sue, so everybody ignored it."

If you don't like Dany, fine. You don't have to lie about the reasons you don't like her. She is met with distrust by almost everybody in Winterfell, so don't even pretend like everybody thinks she is perfect.

well the show writers do, as they forgot to write in a spine for jon

nothing miss dragons does is bad, ever!

>An oath is an oath

>>T-thank you for killing my familly
kek

>T-thank you for killing my familly
I got a sort of mafia impression from the whole exchange. "I killed your father and brother, I want you to hear it from me and that it was business, not personal."

>That's not an argument.
it wasn't supposed to be an argument, it was supposed to be a sincere observation and insult. I already gave my arguments and your response was retarded.

>Just because Stannis legitimately thought that ruling was his duty, doesn't excuse his actions
it absolutely does because he really is the rightful claimant to the throne and no laws are valid if the person sitting on the iron throne is illegitimate.

Danys motivations are childish and simplistic and when she does controversial shit it's on her own whims and not something she is reluctantly forced to do. Stannis didn't kill people because they believed in the wrong god, he did it because that religion was a key powerhouse to get the rightful king on the throne and he was perfectly reasonable in believing it worked consistently, which is why it's extra tragic it didn't following his sacrifice. Your a brainlet who acts like he wanted to burn people and shit just to satisfy his ego and flex his muscles like dany. he didn't want to kill his daugh

The end of the seven kingdoms

He didn't want to kill his daughter, he was forced into it via duty like Abraham being forced to sacrifice his son. I should probably stress that the intent of this was supposed to be devastating for Abraham and he didn't just turn his brain and emotions off and go "God said so later faggot"

>well the show writers do, as they forgot to write in a spine for jon

Yeah, maybe he could swing his spine at the White Walkers when the AoTD comes. If you thought Jon got the raw end of the deal with Daenerys, something is wrong with your head.

>nothing miss dragons does is bad, ever!

Keep making a strawman because you have no argument. Who is saying that besides hardcore Dany fans on the internet?

Jon
>didn't know about the Tarly's before. Daenerys also saved his life and is helping him save everybody. Is he supposed to start a fight over something he did in the past as well? Right now?
Jorah
>obsessed with her on an unreasonable level
Varys
>using her as an end to a means. Thinks she is the most preferable monarch, which is relative.
Tyrion
>used her as a reason to live again. When he actually met her and saw how she behaves, he gets second thoughts. You would know if you actually watched the show.
Missandei, Grey Worm and the Unsullied
>freed them and treats them well.
Dothraki
>like her for her power.
Daario
>liked her because he wanted to fuck her.
Every Westerosi ally not mentioned
>followed her out of revenge

So, who currently hates her? The North, whom she is trying to protect. Jon's family and friends. And pretty much everybody who isn't in the North.

I don't know how somebody can see discussion after discussion about Daenerys's morality across the internet and watch everybody dislike in the season premiere, then turn around and say she is treated like she is perfect.

You're delusional.

i agree that stannis>dany
but killing his daughter was retarded and out of character

>trying to protect

she doesn't care about anyone she just wants to rule

Decent episode desu. Like the throwbacks to the earlier season. Theon saving Yara was retarded tho. What was the point of the build-up last season if he's just gonna save him like that.

It wasn't out of character at all. it's the culmination of his character. He's supposed to be very sympathetic and only isn't to nihilists who can't understand the point, and are too stuck in their bubble they can't even understand the point in universe which has literal magic and Gods and shit making supra-natural things like fate, destiny, laws, honor etc have real meaning.

You're just justifying terrorism then. How is Stannis no better than an Islamic extremist who thinks that have to bomb a bus for the greater good?

You are making him sound even worse.

>she doesn't care about anyone she just wants to rule

Then why didn't she just take Kingslanding and rule then?

she's just going to fuck over her "allies" once she gets the throne

easier to backstab than face an uprising

A lot better than season 7 for sure so i'm really hopeful now. Next ep has a lot of potential. Yara being rescued was a bit rushed tho.

>You're just justifying terrorism then. How is Stannis no better than an Islamic extremist who thinks that have to bomb a bus for the greater good?
stop trolling with this low quality bait please. What is this some kind of "gotcha /pol/tard"? If islamic extremists are right they are absolutely justified in taking down the great satan. The difference is we, as the audience, know for a fact Stannis is justified in his actions and in the real world have reason to doubt the motives of Islamic terrorists are legitimate.

Josephine Gillan is the one riding Bronn. She even did porn under a different name.

I cringed through it. The jokes man, the fucking jokes. I don't remember ever seeing worse humor.
The initial sequence of Jon/Dany arriving was good, the reunions were paced well enough. But after that everything else just kind of blends together. Theon/Yara shit was stupid, as is Cersei's continued existence. The retcon regarding Jon bending the knee was weird.
at least it's better than the previous season/10

>she's just going to fuck over her "allies" once she gets the throne

>easier to backstab than face an uprising

So Daenerys thinks facing an army of ice demons and undead is easier than burning down the red keep?

>The difference is we, as the audience, know for a fact Stannis is justified in his actions and in the real world have reason to doubt the motives of Islamic terrorists are legitimate.

Are you a fucking idiot? Do you what a reasonable, justifiable act is? In my country, if somebody hits me in the head once, it's illegal to shoot them. If somebody invades my home, I can shoot them. I can't keep in a rape dungeon for 20 years. If somebody steals my car, holding their family ransom to get it back would be kidnapping.

You are arguing moral relativism. The audience does "know" for a fact that Stannis's actions are justified. They know for a fact that he is the lawful Baratheon heir.

In the real world, the ends do not justify the means. If North Korea assassinated the president of South Korea, South Korea in turn blowing North Korea off the map would be considered an extreme response by many.

You have no concept of degree of actions. None.

C-can't wait for him to show up. A-any day now right?

>you are arguing moral relativism
>also in my specific country what we define as reasonable and justifiable is
lmao
No i'm arguing putting the rightful king on the throne though any amount of bloodshed is more moral than letting an illegitimate ruler take the throne as an alternative. The only thing above issues of succession are literal issues of God.

>The audience does "know" for a fact that Stannis's actions are justified
They do because he is the rightful heir to the throne, his actions are in pursuit of a lawful objective.

You have no concept the of the divine right of kings and the philosophical importance of having a legitimate ruler. So long as Stannis doesn't rule no laws have any legitimate basis. The principle is more important than the defacto result. Stannis is preserving the spirit of the seven kingdoms and all the customs and traditions that go with it.

You are viewing the world of GOT though a modernist lens and not in its own context.
