Why do people hate her?

She's my favorite person on the show. Is there something in the books I'm missing? I think she's the best.

yes but what is her tax policy

I thought her story was interesting at first, but when she went into 'i'm a queen' mode she's been awful

she's incredibly entitled and lacks the self-awareness to realize she's pulling the same shit all conquering rulers have pulled before her while pretending to "break the wheel"

I'm guessing the humor is supposed to come from how little effort you put into your post

> Is there something in the books I'm missing?
Yes, everything.

She's one of the first characters written very poorly and the actress can't sell it anyway so it's all garbage.

Lol

She has no real command in her voice and sounds like a bad porn actress everytime she says "bend the kneeeeee", she also isn't cute anymore and is getting a puffy fraggle face that makes her big eyes buggy and goofy

i liked her before she got bloated and started using the wig

Attached: iXJ6jYd.jpg (1600x897, 94K)

but #strongwomen yaaas queen

it became so clear early on that she was the showrunner's favorite and it took away from her character alot.

fuck you twat. is that enough effort?

Are you an incel? Or are you just intimidated by a strong woman

She got out of the kitchen

She hasn't really earned any of her power.
She got married to a powerful man because of her brother
That man happened to die and she also happened to be fire proof
So she magically got an army and dragons
Because she had those she beat all the other players on his island and thats about it.

Pretty much anyone else has better skills in combat and or diplomacy, the only skills she has is "born fireproof and has dragons"

imagine playing a game with a group of people, but how of those people only 1 person got end game gear at the start of the game. why the fuck would you care?

She is much more similar to the Mad King than she, or her fans, will admit. She has had scenes where she would've snapped and turned into a psycho, if someone smarter than her wasn't there to call her out on her shit.

She was more fun when Aquaman was fucking her.

>imagine playing a game with a group of people, but how of those people only 1 person got end game gear at the start of the game.
Based. You hit the nail on the fucking head. She was born on third base and thinks she hit a triple.

Are there any good rape scenes in this show?

She spent two seasons with no army and tiny chicken dragons, retard.

Attached: ugly2.jpg (1300x955, 109K)

Entitled, fucks and gets it down with uncivilized savages, brings those savages into civilized land to kill and destroy innocent people, ruin the economy of several cities. She's a modern day democrat.

That's one of the most fucked up parts of the show (And books)
How she was just given 3 dragons eggs as a wedding gift. Never mind dragons are now extinct and the eggs would be priceless. Couldn't George have come up with a better explanation to how she got them?

dragons fix all her problems

fpbp

I haven't seen the TV series itself, but the book Dany is infuriating. She's clearly Martin's favourite and she gets away with bullshit that would get other people killed. She has little agency on her own, puts her trust in some really shady people, makes dumb mistakes all the time, yet still manages to pull it off without any harm because her sidekicks - who joined her just because of her bloodline - do 90% work for her, so she can act all high and mighty. Every other character in the book would be dead several times over if they made so many stupid mistsked Dany did.

She seems pretty dope. Better than most of the dudes on the show.

Did i ever say she instantly had an army s01e01 faggot? Go fuck yourself you dragon slag.

Cuck

People hate her because she's a woman.

But is she a bad character? Well, she's boring. That's probably the most legislative complaint you can make about her. The rest of game of thrones feels like a PvP environment with multiple players competing with one another, but Dany's arc is basically just her playing whack-a-mole with the antagonist of the week while learning an important life lesson after each victory. Her side of the pond would have really benefited from another PoV character.

lol look he got mad

if she ends up becoming the Mad Queen then she'll have been a pretty well-written villain but otherwise the hate mostly stems from the audience perception that she's this benevolent goddess who can do no wrong even though she's taken on the role of a tyrant pretty easily. She's the YAAAS QUEEEN SLAAAAY character of the show despite possessing pretty negative qualities that you wouldn't want in a hero - it's Jon who actually has these traits but he's currently thinking with his dick.

After the beginning of season two she's had literally no real challenge. Even if it looks like she's in deep shit she magically comes out on top and its just boring. Plus her personality is absolutely bland. Its just constant virtue signalling and #yaaasqueenslayyyy bullshit

agreed, for me, it's Sir John Coffey, King of the Green Mile

Attached: JC.jpg (500x667, 38K)

>People hate her because she's a woman.
yeah no

I would cum all over her, but never in her pussy, ever.

This. I don't know why everyone was just shitposting during the live discussion.
>She'll be a just queen. She's not her father.
This was the best line of the episode as Jon tries to convince Sansa to trust her. She's certainly going to go insane and will turn this into a three way fight.

mereen was completely a fucking useless plot thread
they haven't mentioned it for like an entire season

I still think she's pretty. She looked really good last season

If she were a white guy 90% of the complaints about her wouldn't exist.

isn't she the original yas queen slay?

YAS QUEEN SLAY became a meme because of a Beyonce song, not Dany. she was probably the first tv/movie character to gain that designation though

imagine the taxes

If she killed her older brother, the true heir to the throne, what stops her from killing Jon? I really never liked her, hell, I even sympathized with Cersei more than her, and I hate Cersei too, hopefully they surprise us with her death, now that would be a nice plot twist to end the series.

>the only skills she has is "born fireproof and has dragons"
she also has a vagina

>dragons need to grow like every single other creature to ever exist
well at least they had one thing in this shitshow make sense somewhat. BASED GoT.

Reminder that Jon Snow is 10x the Mary Sue she is
>supposedly a bastard but secretly the true heir to the throne
>impeccable integrity and always morally upright
>randomly one of the best swordsmen in the show who defeats a ton of characters one on one
>everyone who meets him says something to the effect of "I like you boy" after one conversation
>despite not wanting it, people keep pushing him into higher positions of power
>literally Jesus coming back from the dead

Attached: jon-stark-targaryen.jpg (968x681, 36K)

shes starting to act like Brie Larson

She's hypocritical af and morally bankrupt. The show only treats her as such when its convenient to do so because this is The Game of Fanservice and she has a large, moronic fanbase.

All of her success has come from either sure luck or through her dragons.. which she received through sure luck.. there is no political or tactical savvy to her character like nearly every other character in the show.

Because of these character traits, her ridiculously massive fucking ego is completely undeserved and only makes her more of a detestable person

/pol/cucks are just buttblasted that all the rulers are queens now.
She personifies that, so they hate her.

>virtue signaling
Because she wants to end slavery?
Something that is already outlawed in westeros.

>sure luck
ya no, Dany is based and has drangons

Attached: 1553443633435.jpg (1684x1118, 598K)

Lets see you fucking faggot.

>born of incest
>doesn't know shit of politics
>ruins multiple cities and leaves them to a sellsword
>leaves her city to ride a dragon for fun
>leaves her people to fucking die
>attacks FOOD CARRIAGES before WINTER
>shits on Bobby B and Ned Stark when they had A RIGHT to rebel
>not true heir by blood
>doesn't actually work for any of her armies
>just gets dragons and uses them to get armies
>hot so she gets armies

The dragons were luck, but she got the unsullied and the dothraki through tactical savvy.
Namely by killing the leaders of those armies and taking the armies for herself.

>"lets tear apart a culture because my personal views are more important"

Apparently being anti-slavery is virtue signaling now.
And you wonder why people call you nazis.

Attached: khaleesi food kiddo.jpg (585x474, 135K)

>randomly one of the best swordsmen in the show
he was literally trained as if he was a stark by Ser Rodderick you fuck

that's not savvy that's just using dragons to get your way

they were fossilized eggs when given to her

they would still be valuable as fuck, but not priceless

She didn't use dragons to get the dothraki. And she only used the dragons as a bargaining chip to get the unsullied.

>implying I'm pro-slavery
>implying I'm a nazi

Attached: charlieb.jpg (161x180, 7K)

He was treated like second class for being a bastard most of his life, he got banished to the wall, and he was literally stabbed to death.
That's not exactly a gary stu.

it's kind of weird how disproportionately good he is in the show compared to the books. in the books he's decent, and better than all the peasants at Castle Black because he was actually formally trained, but he's hardly one of the greats. he gets his ass kicked by pretty much any other competent swordsman like Mance.

She got the dothraki because she was involuntarily sold to a horsefucker who wanted to rape her. When he died she inherited his army. Most of this army dies out until drogon involuntarily drops her off in Bumfuckville, Essos where she meets more dothraki who choose her because they remember her as being the sex slave of their former master.

And who could forget the magical unsullied army whose manpower literally just varies from episode to episode. Season 5 and 6 theres only ever a handful of unsullied in one shot and they die by the hundreds. In Season 8 Episode 1, she has a multi-thousand man unsullied army marching through the north. She acquired this army by using the power of a cringey speech and dragons she was recieved through luck.

He wasn't banished to the wall. He went willingly. People even tried to talk him out of it.

>supposedly a bastard but secretly the true heir to the throne
good point

>impeccable integrity and always morally upright
broke his oath to the Nights Watch, lied to the Wildlings

>randomly one of the best swordsmen in the show who defeats a ton of characters one on one
Quorin lost on purpose, he got lucky with the White Walker, he beat Ramsay because Ramsay only had a bow

>everyone who meets him says something to the effect of "I like you boy" after one conversation
He gets assassinated because a bunch of people hated him

>despite not wanting it, people keep pushing him into higher positions of power
Thats how the unwanting king trope works, Robb didn't ask to be King in the North, same with Stannis

>literally Jesus coming back from the dead
a good point

Not including the countless mooks he has cut down, Jon snuh has defeated
>Qhorin Halfhand, an experienced ranger who killed countless wildings
>Karl Tanner, the "fookin legend" of Gin Alley
>Styr, the leader of the fearsome Thenns
>A White Walker in combat
>Ramsay Bolton, who fought off a band of ironborn while shirtless who also mentioned rumors about Jon being the greatest swordsman who ever lived

just trained like a Stark by Ser Rodderick though

Fag

>the world is about to end
>Daenerys comes to help the North survive instead of taking the Iron Throne
>Northerners care more about Jon bending the knee than they do about zombies coming to murder them all
>Yea Forums is sides with the Northerners even though all of you know a zombie invasion is coming
I swear you guys are so fucking retarded it hurts.
She burned the Tarly's alive because they refused to bend the knee? So, they deserved it. They betrayed their liege lords, had a chance to make amends, refused and paid the price.
>Jon gave Janos Slynt a chance to obey his orders. Janos didn't and was executed.
>Sansa didn't even give Ramsay Bolton a trial or anything. He was summarily executed, but nobody cares because nobody likes Ramsay Bolton.
>Stannis burned non-believers in the Lord of Light, Mance for refusing to bend the knee, and executed his brother Renly for trying to usurp him. Everybody on here sucks his dick 24/7, though.
If Jon, and the North, turn on Daenerys, after everything she did for him, that would be bad writing. Stop trying to force another Dance of Dragons; the Night King has a dragon, so there is going to be a dance regardless. Stop trying to force a "Mad Queen Dany;" the Mad Queen already exists and she is called Cersei.
Hate Daenerys all you want, but she isn't going to become the devil you want her to be. There's no time for that. The battle for Winterfell takes place in episode three. Jon and Daenerys are both shown in the Dragonstone war room in one of the trailers, so we know they both survive. Cersei and the Night King are probably alive, so where is the room for Jon and Dany to fight?

Attached: calvin monster.jpg (470x470, 146K)

She acquired the dothraki by burning all the khals alive and surviving with her magic fire resistance.
She acquired the unsullied by using a dragon as a bargaining chip to gain control of the army and then using that army to kill the masters and take the dragon back.
Neither of those relied on using the power of the dragons.

>use a dragon as a bargain chip
>doesn't involve the power of dragons

Imagine if Stannis was a woman, would Stannisfags actually see their obviously villain character in a new light?

it was less about ending slavery than it was giving her army a tremendous boost. keep in mind that during the Civil War it wasn't initially Lincoln's plan to free slaves, he had to be convinced of that by Frederick Douglass because he assured Lincoln that he would receive the support of the freemen in the north if he made emancipation a top priority, and therefore garnered a significant boost for his military. social justice causes are almost always about strategy, not benevolence.

The dragons may as well have been a chest of gold. She didn't just have the dragons kill everybody. She used the value of the dragons, not the power of them.

SHE IS NOT STANNIS BARATHEON the RIGHTFUL KING

>Imagine if Stannis was a woman, would Stannisfags actually see their obviously villain character in a new light?

Imagine if Stannis was in the exact same fucking position with the Tarly's that Daenerys was. What were the chances that he would have acted differently? ZERO FUCKING PERCENT. But the Stannisfags on here think he can do no wrong. He is a kinslayer two times over and an attempted kinslayer with Gendry/Edric Storm.

Renly deserved it. Shireen didn't deserve it (it's going to happen in the books, Stannisfags-in-denial). He contemplated burning his own nephew for power.

If women love Daenerys for being a woman (outside of catty Sansa fans), the dudes on here love Stannis because he's a man.

youtu.be/4AaXnOaeYqQ

dany's book chapters are worse than anything in the show

Quentin blocks your path

It's going to happen in the books but not under the same circumstances. Stannis can't burn Shireen if he dies at Winterfell. So either Melisandre does it without his approval because Jon took away her only other source of Kingsblood, or he lives much longer and burns her at some other stage.

Really liked her in that dress.

Her dragons burn the master alive. She never intended to use then as a bargaining chip to begin with. It's the game of thrones equivalent of tying a string around a coin to RIP off vending machines

Stannis is hundred of miles away from his daughter you doof.

Meli is gonna burn her to bring back Jon. Stannis will come back to the wall and probably kill himself of something.

She is a libtard white woman virtue signaling for shitskins.

She'd have less fans as a man. If she were a a man, she would just be a joffrey willing to listen to reason. She has a latent madness and an extremely unyielding temperament when it comes to her "rights."

MEN BAD!

Attached: 1555012397440.png (377x451, 191K)

Yeah, the burning of carriages was extremely stupid

holy shit that synced up perfectly

this meme is too much

I forgot about that cuck. He was so bland I didn't even realize he died until I went and reread the chapter wondering where he went.

I dont hate her, I just hope that little goblin doesn't beat her.

She's a very bad actress, to the point of her performances being laughable. Now that I think of it, is there a good actor on the show? Has anyone been in anything good, other than this?

She's impulsive. Doesn't help the fact that the targaryens were born of incest and that the insanity gene spread into the family. While Dany is not her father, she still has some bits of that insanity in her. She's willing to kill people for wronging her just like that without thinking of the consequences. With that being said, she should not be on the iron throne.

It really is because she's a woman

Pretty based post

this but memes aside, season 1-2 I enjoyed her stories the most, even on rewatch, but the conquest ones started to dip her intrigue, and by the time you get to mereen it was all down hill

entitled pretentious character who is convinced of her own infallibility and moral superiority. Gets everything she wants without working or giving anything away. "Dragons" always seem to be a magic bullet that save her from her mistakes. All of her success is mostly based on having men at her beck and call who are willing to give her their talent and expertise for free for one reason or another - Barristan it's his guilt, Jorah is just a cuck.

In a series where all the 'main' characters were dying left and right shes a massive fucking mary sue. Alexander the Great conquered half the known world and died in his 20s. This twat has obliterated all her enemies with ease, with endless plot saves the entire time, and never once had a challenge that was actually threatening, plus her fucking dragons have saved her like 10 times from impending death which SHOULD have killed her and WOULD have killed any other character. The problem is her ENTIRE story is just about her. This isnt a story about Targaryens trying to reclaim the throne, its about a single person trying to reclaim it, if she dies, the whole story dies. She never should have been an only child (apart from her shitfaced brother who got culturally enriched).

For all the shit you might give John for being his own mary sue, at least 90% of his family got murdered and he did literally die. And every other family got royally fucked up as well. Her family is just her and shes a-fucking-okay after all that bullshit shes been through because what? She 'inspires' people? All she fucking does is burn people alive with magic dragons.

>She's clearly Martin's favourite
he's setting her up to be utterly destroyed in an ironic collapse - just like rhaegar. But the TV show doesn't care about this they need a YAAAS QUEEN SLAY to satiate all the fat hambeast fans.

>Dany is based
You definitely have a vagina

that would have made her scenes with aquaman a bit more awkward

>Or are you just intimidated by a strong woman
I've never understood this line, but I would be slightly intimidated by her three dragons and army of savage rapists and slavers

Attached: emilia_clarke_nude_back.jpg (1000x828, 152K)

The only problem I have with her and the main reason I don't like her, is that she talks about breaking the wheel and saving the little people while doing the same things the people on the wheel do and ending up screwing up the people. She thinks she's the rightful ruler but her family was overthrown and replaced and unless the majority of the lords bend the knee to her, which is unlikely, there will be war and bringing death, fire and foreign savages to a kingdom ravaged by war won't help the people she wants to 'save'. And what's she gonna do if she's queen? What's she gonna do different than her ancestors? Establish a democracy? You first have to have a more advanced and educated society for that. Why would anybody vote for her? What's her tax policy, unironically? The only thing she has going for her is that she ended slavery which The Seven Kingdoms doesn't have. She's gonna end feudalism? What she's gonna replace it with? And so on...

GRRM can't stop describing her eating, shitting and bathing. she is his waifu and he's setting her up to die heroically in the final battle.

>nipples showing through
>"nice dress!!"

And yet Catelyn, Arya, Sansa, and in fact no other female character is any where near as disliked despite their many flaws as characters

>this thread
Imagine being a fat woman LOL

Is Mad Queen Daenerys really happening or are they teasing?

Attached: 15076934569050104.jpg (1440x810, 60K)

Hope so, it would finally give her character character

I hate how every season is just "Danerys you so cool here have my army", she literally just keeps getting free armies

But I fucking love Cersei! And Arya is ok. And the granny that killed Joffrey.
I dislike shit characters and shit actors. Dany is both.

I'd have to rewatch all the earlier seasons to cement my opinion on her since I forget so much shit that happens in this show due to baseline investment in it, but I don't mind her character that much. I think I was really on board for a while there where her only real power was being fireproof while her dragons were tiny, so she manages to invert traditional Dothraki power structures by murdering all the Khals in a neat way and by playing to their belief in mysticism. That was kind of neat.

Then there was a pretty good segment, might have been a whole season, where she learned that unrelenting optimism and idealism isn't actually that great for governing a people and the people under her actively suffer for a while until she learns that she needs to be hardnosed in her rule sometimes and surround herself with knowledgeable people because she isn't an expert in everything. That was a pretty good segment.

If they're pushing her towards exerting her power too much and getting out of hand, the execution scene was the biggest example, then I wish the peanut gallery around her would just shut the fuck up about her being just and noble all the time.

There's about 6 episodes left and they have to atleast dedicate 3 episodes purely to dealing with the white walker threat.

5 episodes left*

She became a spoiled brat with 0 chemistry with other characters, shirtty dialog and a quite literal plot armor.

Imagine her ass smell lads

>slave owners offer army to trade for a dragon
>she just orders dragon to kill the slave owners and takes the army
>slave owners didn't see this coming and had no plan, archers, muzzle, etc ready

Any man who must say I am the king, is no true king.

Well books ended with her being humbled by dragons being actual wild beasts that gave 0 fucks about her. There was a pirate cuck with a magic horn on the horizon though.
