Given that this is the only visual lovecraftian piece of media that's good, how would you adapt it to film?

faggot
I wouldn't
Van Helsing but less combat and more churches and cult shit
make it two movies. first one ends at rom dying and the curtain being pulled back on reality. last scene being the hunter staring at the blood moon descending. then the screen goes black and "HUNT THE NIGHTMARE NEWBORN" appears. roll credits
second film opens up with gerhman and the doll talking to each other, and watching the hunter doomguy his way through the real world
I don't think it would work desu. Not without taking a billion liberties and cutting a lot of the optional side stuff out completely.
It's hard to do because death has no consequence and if you wanted to stay with the source material you'd have to establish that extremely early.
Wouldnt work. FROM SOFTWARE games take a lot of liberty with their storytelling. It would need to be a new story and nobody wants that.
A story shown from the hunter's perspective but narrated by others. Like this guy with a hat/mask that you never see his face Dredd style or hear him speak maybe. He just does amazing combat shit and then the other characters tell the story as he meets them. His motives and direction are explained from their end.

will sony dorks ever grow up and develop real taste?
It's a fucking videogame.It's 90% gameplay 10% lore.
Unlike MGS where you can adapt anything in that series,to adapt bloodborne you'd have to go through incredibly obnoxious expositions
I guess that's the hard part of doing the great lovecraftian art. There's not enough gothic architecture in the world.
Fuckin best souls game!!
If you just adapted it if would simply be an overly obtuse horror action movie with some cool visuals. I always felt that you needed to do something less action oriented in the same world beforehand to properly establish the setting.
It might make a good television show if you make it about Yharnam, rather than just about the events of the game
It would just be two hours of exposition with maybe three boss appearances and a love interest (not the doll).
MAke it an offshoot of the game by having someone wake up as a hunter and meet with other hunters (experienced or not) and go on a crusade to hunt beasts. There's no backstory it's simply a fresh perspective from the eyes of the protag. As time goes on some of the hunters go insane and some get turned to blood obsessed hunters. Protags final battle is against a hunter who ends up either
A) turning into a blood starved beast
or
B) becomes a vassal for the eldritch
Toward the end of the movie the Protag realizes all the shit that's been happening as been a top down refined plan to look like some random clusterfuck made possible by the cults and symbolism scattered throughout the movie.
Protag read something fucked up, walks outside notices Amygdala just chillin in places he/she's been to and ends right then and there.
It's already got a GOAT live action adaption.
I'd rather have a tv series about yharnam
