does /tv like this movie? Rarely see anyone talking about it, which is a shame
Seven Psychopaths

I thought it was dumb and ultimately forgettable, but I have a weakness for silly meta movies where the protagonist is a screenwriter without ideas
So did you like it but think its objectively bad? I feel like the atmosphere it creates with its humour is quite top notch
It triggers me that it says the Buddhist monk that set himself on fire was protesting the Vietnam War.
He was protesting South Vietnam President Diem's persecution of Buddhists. Nothing to do with the war.
Very inferior when compared to the writer/directors other film: In Bruges.
I actually have to agree, even though I like Seven Psychopaths more than In Bruges. Bruges is objectively better no doubt

I really like it
is it better or worse when you realize that Seven Psychopaths is about the director's self realization that he will never make another film as good as In Bruges?
One of those films that I liked yet can't remember anything about
>ok you seem normal come on in, we have to get this dog off the street cause its kidnapped from a manic.
Watch it again, friend. You will surely not regret it. Theres a lot of good shit in there
great acting, some interesting ideas and something about the ending is really moving without being super substantial so I don't really know why. Overall I enjoyed it
Whats so intriguing about the ending is relfecting on Billy and realizing what an absolute chad he is
on retrospect and after having seen the three mcdonagh feature films, it seems to me that he wanted to make a drama like three billboards but didnt want to/know how to pull it off without the comedy parts, and seven psychopaths really feels like a mash of bruges and billboards thematically and atmospherically.
Its good but definitely the worst of the three
We don't talk about good films on Yea Forums
oh but i love how some of the stuff farrell says about his script, which is referring to seven psychopaths itself is also reused for billboards. The "life affirming message" and that the characters should just walk away and talk instead of having a shootout etc
I really disliked both, they feel like shitty Snatch copies
In Bruges is one of my favourite films so I remember being pretty disappointed by this...
I should probably give it another go though.
You should, it gets better every time desu
this movie fucking sucked
Gandhi was wrong, and so are you

oof
I remember wondering how he tricked so many A listers into making such shite.
Wait I might be thinking of a different film. Does this film have Cameron Diaz fucking a car
wasn't this movie like three of the psychopaths were the same guy or some shit?
I'll say this, it's a lot better than it would have been without Sam Rockwell in it.
