It's a pretty legit movie on men's emasculation issues and how they can't properly work around them without sperging out, fucking things around and turning it worse - until they find that they can do.
Honestly, if I saw that movie when it was released I'd say it was being some pretentious shit for the sake of looking cool. But seeing how feminized culture and men have become, I think it was ahead of its time.
