Are they actually good actors? Or did they jut coast on their looks???
Are they actually good actors? Or did they jut coast on their looks???
What do you think?
Tom is an actually good stuntman
Brad is an actually good actor
I’m conflicted on the third one
brad pitt is a good actor
tom cruise is not
johnny depp is ok
retard tom is the better actor out of all of them
brad pitt literally only became a good actor half way through his career so he did kinda coast on good looks
depp was very aloof but seemed to have a good eye for picking roles although not anymore since 2011?
Tom is living, breathing kino and Brad is a legit great actor. Depp is a meme though.
Tom is an absolute lad and a great actor.
Brad is an absolute lad and an average actor who just has a high charisma stat
Depp is a bit of a cunt who is a great actor.
Any other opinion is wrong.
This is the correct answer
>tom is the worst actor out of all of them
You got that right. He's shit, always was.
at some point Pitt must have begun to experience shame at being a handsome cutout? whatever it was it worked because he's a much better actor now than he used to be
or maybe he was legitimately interested in his craft
cruise is a good actor
brad is a good actor
depp is a horrible meme actor who got cucked and beaten by a woman lmao
Are you both zoomers or something? Prime Depp was 10 times the actor Brad ever was. He wasnt always a burn out
always the problem, no? he must have been held back for a long time
It goes
Depp then Pitt then a massive pile of shit and then Cruise
yep
Since everyones ranking them, based on raw acting ability it goes
Depp>Pitt>Cruise. They're all talented and entertaining though
tom is an Actor
brad is an actor
Depp is a Character Actor
Tom Cruise: literal tool, no self-awareness
Brad Pitt: owes his career to his look, cynical because of it
Johnny Depp:owes his career to his look, depressed because of it
both Cruise and Depp aren't great actors but Cruise is 100x more likeable. I cant watch anything Depp is in, I really dislike him
>I cant watch anything Depp is in, I really dislike him
Damn that sucks user you've missed out on a lot of great movies
>all these zoomers that are unaware that Depp used to be a great actor and not just le funny hat man
>brad is an actualy good actor
No he isn't. If I remember right they would even give me some food to eat during the scenes so he would look more natural because he himself couldn't pull it off
they are all good at playing themselves
here's a test you can do to see I'm right
imagine depp on mission impossible
imagine cruise on pirates of the namibian
imagine pitt on ediie scissorhands
PSH was a great actor.
>Tom Cruise: literal tool, no self-awareness
alphas don't need self-awareness
I challenge you to find a woman who thinks Tom's attractive. I think he's great looking personally.
Oh don't worry, I understood this in highschool.
>Brad is an actually good actor
I used to think that until I watched him acting in a film with great actors.
>yes
>yes
>Depp was great in sleepy hollow, from hell and once upon a time in Mexico. And Jack sparrow wouldnt have been as successful a character without him.
>I’m conflicted on the third one
The third one is the only actually good actor of the three
Or he used to be at least
Pit was painful to watch most of the time
>they would even give me
Brad?
I don't think i ever finished watching a Johnny Depp movie besides Rango where he is doing the voiceover
How the fuck do you call Depp a character actor but not Tom? Have ever seen any pre-PotC Depp movies?
Gilbert Grape era Depp is great, then after Edward Scissorhands he just seemed to play wacky characters and it all went out the window
correct
>mfw in Dr Parnassus Depp perfectly mimics every Ledger's gesture and movement
Cruise is a good movie-star
Pitt is a good actor
Depp was a great actor but now he's just a lush
Brad Pitt is a poor man's Robert Redford
Redford is a poor mans Paul Newman
cant imagine PSH as captain sparrow either
Cruise is a good actor who takes shit roles.
Pitt is an ok actor who takes ok roles.
Depp can be a good actor or he can be a shockingly bad one, regardless of role.
>Yes
>Usually average, sometimes pretty good
>Occasionally pretty bad, usually ok and sometimes amazing
>being this fucking stupid
DEPP: Depp in his prime was 10/10 holier-than-Brando tier. I remember a guy, a very experienced actor who was a member of Actors' Studio in New York, and is a very respected actor in our country, who was attending Actors' Studio sessions with Depp, and he was telling me how even in his early days Depp was just out of this world, absolutely top tier. He was telling me how to this day he was convinced that this was the greatest acting talent he had ever seen with his own eyes.
The main issue with Johnny Depp imo is that he's so fucking fragile. It's like he can't handle the "muh society" and then resorts to drinking and drugs. Never explored his past, as I didn't care much. I was always more of an admirer of the likes of James Gandolfini, actors who are 100% genuine in their craft, no bullshit attached to them like most of today's Hollywood heavy-weights like Hardy, DiCaprio, Cruise, Pitt, etc.
Depp in What's Eating Gilbert Grape is one of the greatest, most simplistic, minimalistic, yet utterly fucking profound and touching performances an actor could ever give. In my opinion, this will always be prime Depp, astonishing work. Compare it to how Pitt and Cruise were acting when they were of that age and you can see the sheer gap between their talents.
Depp also had the misfortune of being typecasted in weird roles, when unironically he is at his best when he's full-on natural. Meeting Tim Burton was his greatest mistake and I hate and partially blame Burton for having a role in ruining Depp. Because these two met so early, Burton shaped Depp's entire career.
Depp has been shit tier in terms of acting ever since early 2000s, and is at this point worse than Cruise and Pitt. And I'm talking about genuine acting - the actual craft. Not just pretending about being le quirky pirate.
he should try some ayahuasca
obviously has some shit depp inside
Cruse is a fucking great actor dude wtf
Johny Depp was pretty good in Donnie Brasco.
Shit/average/good
Tommy Cruise is the last true hollywood star/action hero
He perfectly embodies everything you would think an A-lister should be and when he's gone I don't think that era of hollywood will die and "stars" will just be popular people with no mystique, charm or charisma to them
Can you genuinely look at any modern actor and see them as a "star"?
I liked him in Last Samurai. Or maybe I just liked the movie and he happened to be in it. Didn't find his character very likable.
If people would base acting abilities purely on looks, Dolph Lundgrens career would have gone otherwise.
reminder that The Last Samurai, Gladiator and The Kingdom of Heaven are the ultimate pleb indicators in contemporary cinema
stop embarassing yourself please
I have no clue who Doplh Lundgrens is but that get demands to be checked.
reminder that I don't give a fuck what some sperg on a Mongolian throat singing board says, unless it's related to Mongolian throat singing which is based.
t. roastie that loves Tim Burton movies
Tim Burton used to be great. He's probably talking about Dead Man or other weird shit he's been in that no one ever heard about.
What a wrong opinion
Tom Cruise is the true triple threat.
>fantastic at comedy
>fantastic at drama
>fantastic at action
The other two literally can’t compete. No one can.
This.
The majority of women love pretty boys rather than manly men.
>t. Deppfag
cruise and depp are good
pitt has a bowling ball for a brain
all actors are good at playing themselves, name a film where denzel doesn't play denzel.
Pitt was great in TAOJJ
stay out of it brad
you Don't know shit
Cruise is the best actor of the threes, then prime Depp, then Brad Pitt.
They are SYSTEM Leading Actors. They are only truly good in the hands of a coachin- I mean, Production tree that knows how to build around their specific skills and needs to make them shine. Every time a Quarterba- I mean, actor like them gets exposed, it's because they aren't actually good enough to carry a tea- I mean, film.
With the exception of Lestat and Les Grosman, he's only really ever played himself. Don't get me wrong I'm fine with that cause he's charismatic as fuck... But he doesn't really have the range of roles the other two have
Good actors, great screen presence,
Tom is the worse actor out of them, but has the biggest screen presence
He was terrific
Kino
Calling me a Deppfag after I've only praised one (1) of his films.
Gilbert Grape and Donnie Brasco are arguably his only films that he truly deserves to be remembered for. Kill yourself.
The Mummy is the only Tom Cruise movie I thought was not that good. He is a great actor for action movies. 32 years between Top Gun and Mission Impossible: Fallout. How does he keep in shape!
