These movies are normie garbage like those fuck awful Bourne films of the previous decade. No real character, no story beyond "revenge/everyone's trying to kill me!". Badass assassin who can take on everyone with mysterious organization behind the scene's. The ONLY good thing about the Wick films is that they're R-rated. Otherwise they're trash. The Raid 1&2 are infinitely superior and we should have gotten 3 by now!!!FACT!!!

I prefer 1 because there's a purity to it but I admire that Evans didn't just do a Die Hard and have Rama fighting his way out of another enclosed environment. Turning the sequel into a crime epic was a smart movie. Literal low fight IQ plebs. In terms of fight choreography nothing tops Bourne vs Desh in Bourne Ultimatum btw.
In terms of overall fight presentation (choreography + acting + cinematography) then Jackie Chan vs Benny the Jet in Wheels on Meals is king.
Raid 1/2 / Merantau coast on excellent cinematography and soundtrack and acting, but the choreography is subpar for anyone in the know.

This sort of exposition is used to create a feeling of mystery. No one could ever be this badass so if they tried to show it they would just fail. The problem is that they even failed to hype it indirectly because the script is so bad.

By leaving it unshown, they allow the viewer to imagine something far more elaborate and incredible than you could actually show on screen. It's the same reason that showing the monster in a horror movie makes it less scary. The viewer's imagination is more powerful.
