'Man of Steel' took a book from Nolan's Dark Knight movies, to make Superman's world as realistic as possible. Except the one true flaw is Superman's nativity that he learn from his Earth parents. Nobody in the real world can be so humble and naive.

Take away Pa and Ma Kent's teaching, and you'll wind up with a REAL Superman, faced with real issues of the world....

Like what if Superman (unsure about himself) was being bullied at school, by that gym class thot who pushed him to the ground? Naturally a real human, would fight back.....or crush her hand.

Then you have to put up with that thot's bitch mother who wants to sue the kid and the family....fuck her too, I got Superman powers.

Then kill the sheriff, why? Because even if he's trying to bring peace and justice himself, he can't allow that kind of retaliation to happen, so he's got to go after the boy too,.

This "Superman" isn't "bad"....it's just saying, if he was real, he wouldn't be suffering sychophants and idiots.

i've been wondering what the point of this movie even is - we clearly see from the trailer that he can literally instantly kill people with zero effort, move shit with his mind, where is the tension - the shit that a horror revolves around - if he's a godly entity that will either kill or not kill a character? there isn't any running or hiding, there isn't any fighting back, i'd put money on it right now that the ending consists of him either killing his mom or being talked down by her, and then he shoots up into space and vanishes, with the final note of "ooo will he be back scarrryyy", it's just going to be a boring fucking premise held up by modern day effects and marketing like everything else

It didn't, it told another Batman wank story. Superman has been in that same set up before with illusions fucking with him and although he wanted to kill the guy he didn't.

The best "evil" Superman story was Red Son and it wasn't so much that he was evil, but that he was the enforcer of a communist regime because that was what he was raised in and believed to be good.

Unless they press the theme and subvert EVERY possible superhero trope by having some doomsday-esque monster be the good guy, then no. This is going to start cliched and boring, and end cliched and boring - just the trailer alone is a fucking joke full of tired tropes and paint by the numbers horror gags.

Unironically this is a great idea. It'd be interesting to see the moral dilemma. Here's a superhero who saves people, protects the earth, powers of a God etc. But he also fucks kids.
