Classics 80s Kino that slipped through your fingers?

PART II: Chevy Impala Chase Edition.

Boomers only. Not looking for good bad films, though that's ok, but films that are legit great and not that well known.

Just watched this the other day. Really enjoyed it.

This is one one that I've loved since I was a kid. It somehow makes you want the other instead of Pheobe Cates, which q miracle in and of itself since Phoebe was fucking gorgeous as well.

How rare are we talking? I need parameters.

Rare is good, but again quality is the focus. Nothing too reddit that people think is rare but isn't. But again... It's a happy thread to think of happier times.

This one was unusually good if you're into silly, old school chill comedies like The Cannonball Run.

pic related is such a great movie,
the protagonist is one of the most complex characters i have ever seen,
i mean hes a good person, really needy, honest, caring but at the same time extremely brutal.

anyone ever see this? its like an afterschool special that goes off the rails midway through and turns into an insane horror movie

Attached: Scream-for-Help-1984-MOVIE-6.jpg (250x443, 18K)

probably my favorite psycho kid horror movie. its insane and hilarious

Attached: The-Pit-1981-Movie-7.jpg (250x456, 18K)

To live and die in la was great, what are some other films like it?
Other than Manhunter, and in a more comedic direction, Repo Man

I doubt Cassavetes is terribly complex, but is there a good starting point?

Stupid, but entertaining horror flick. Has one of the best werewolf scenes ever.

I don't think I've ever seen Polansky act in anything. He looks and acts so weird already, I bet it works great for a horror movie.

he does a good job

This one's not bad. They tried to make a decent, atmospheric prison horror flick. Worth a watch.

the man knows about horror,

theres a a scene, hes sitting in his new apartment, he moves a big old closet and theres a little hole in the wall, he introduces his finger and finds a tooth. unsettling as fuck

paranormal activity, anabelle, generic hollywood movie about zombies n°82982972 could learn a thing or two about polanski

I'm currently going through Argento's catalog, and I'm learning that I really like horror based around letting the camera linger on just something strange. Something inconceivable but perceivable, and not cutting away. Kills seem to go on forever even if they're relatively simply executed.

Pretty intense for a PG rated movie. Good stuff.

I like kinos with a husband and wife living in poverty and the wife never even entertains the notion of leaving her husband.

Doesn't everyone?
