So now that the decade is almost over.
What was your personal favorite movie of the decade? was it better or worse than the 00s?
So now that the decade is almost over

There's still more than 15% of the decade, calm down.
that one is in my top 5 for sure. Beautiful movie
I honestly have not watched enough movies to judge which decade is better. I mostly watch horror movies anyway
Tree of Life rules, but There Will Be Blood is king.
fucking footfags
I think the Cinema Snob hated this so I never watched it
>were the 2010s better than the 2000s
It's like comparing two turds. I guess I'd say 2000 was better as there was still a shred of creativity left, but both were just awful.
>illiterate
00s were indeed better
>The Great Beauty
>The Neon Demon
>Twin Peaks: The Return
Worse. Upstream Color was the only good movie to come from this decade. It was a great movie though. I've never seen Tree of Life.
Jokes on you, I don't have a personal favorite from this decade.
do you understand how years work user
2020 is the last year (10%) of this decade, and there's over half this year yet.
>2020 is the last year (10%) of this decade,
you are the literal worst posters on the internet
If you count it the way you're proposing, then the first and last decades of a century would be split across centuries. The first decade of this century was 2001-10, this one is 2011-20.
Imagine the smell
This will be the best film this decade.
buddy I'm gonna walk you through a decade, let's do the 60s
1960
1961
1962
1963
1964
1965
1966
1967
1968
1969
What do all those years have in common? the 2nd-to-last digit is the same, constituting one decade. Now let's return to the current decade, the 2010s
it started January 1, 2010.
>but user, that year ends in 10, making it the 10th year of the 2000s
No. A year's # is a measure of how many years have passed since we started this new measuring problem with ya boy Jesus. Meaning that when the clock struck 2010 on New Year''s, it means that 2010 years have occurred. Therefore, 2010 is actually the 2011th year, making it the first year of the current decade.
Don't believe me? Ask yourself this: why is the current century known as the 21st century when 2100 hasn't happened yet?
hmmm I don't think I've watched any movies this decade
2010's Yea Forums core:
Tree of Life
Spring Breakers
Drive
Blue is the Warmest Color
Knock Knock
Dark Knight Rises
this is a fruitless endeavor user
nah I wanna see his reaction to this. only on Yea Forums do you encounter anons that don't understand what a fucking decade is, this is really fucking funny
>The Great Beauty
agreed, it's all-time top 10 for me. opening sequence is legendary.
hot take coming through
this particular subject is a black hole of idiocy i have encountered before
Knight of Cups. Worse. I'm oddly optimistic for 2020s
The Other Side of the Wind.
TV really stole the film world's thunder this decade (the film industry was almost entirely sustained by Marvel capeshit, which has an inherently TV-ish quality when you think about it), and now the big studios are all entering the 2020s with a heavy focus on streaming networks, so I feel like film companies are just gonna throw whatever they have at the wall this coming decade. there's gonna be a lot of weird shit.
The Cabin in the Woods
Call Me By Your Name
Don't Think Twice
Dunkirk
The Great Beauty
Holy Motors
The Hunt
Krisha
Mandy
The Master
Nymphomaniac
Spring
The Square
Take Shelter
Toy Story 3
The Tree of Life
We Need to Talk About Kevin
We the Animals
The World's End
One of these. For this year I'm holding out hope that An Elephant Sitting Still, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Synchronic are all kino
You shall face the wrath of god come judgement day
Educated take
>why hasnt 2100 happened yet
Get a load of this guy
>not remembering 2100
>not remembering Blade Runner 4059
>not remembering Star Wars - A Jar Jar Story
>not remembering Christoper Nolans Stunning Post Mortem Cinematic Vision - Intergalactic
