did you expect it to be happy?

why is fae 55% disgusting and 45% hot?

Realism

covert tomboy loli propaganda

It was just a dream

that wuld be ed bruh

>realism in an anime space cowboy show

you must be older than 18 to post here

Have sex.

Because there was literally no other way for it to end. Spike's luck had to run out eventually, it wouldn't be good otherwise.

Spike's past caught up with him. He couldn't run and hide forever.

NEVER SEEN A BLUER SKY

All things come to an end.

The netflix adaptation will change it

The series had a nice variety of sad, happy, funny and insightful, but I was hoping for a nice ending to follow up after the parting ways with Ed. Instead it just double downed like a full blown Greek tragedy.

Here's your Spike and Jet for today

Attached: intro-1525962169.jpg (780x439, 65K)

that's what makes it a classic. great anime to send off the industry from its golden age too

Because you're gonna carry that weight.

Attached: 1334219471092.jpg (698x305, 34K)

I was not ready for these feels.

FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

its not tragic you cuck/woman, its badass.

so how did it end? never really watched it myself but my brother did

The whole show was tragic. They were losers running away from their problems.

thats actually pretty interesting connection. without looking it up, im not sure which one came first. i doubt the producers of either even knew of the other, but neat connection. old black veteran law man, slightly suicidal and athletic young white guy.

True, but they were also actively searching for something new, and none of them found anything in the end.

Her outfit is fucking ridiculous. Rewatching it a month ago her outfit alone completely ruined the dramatic tone of her later episodes.

But she also looks like a slut who will ride your cock while you're taking a shit and then walk around with your cum in her while she goes about her day like it's no big deal.

Trashy outfit and habits sure to accelerate aging (smoking) on what's still a quite hot, fuckable 2D body.

Faye is attractive, but Electra was always hotter. Better butt, better hair.

what happens in the end? they all split up if i remember correctly or i think spike gets shot cus of that "bang" meme haha i forget i needa go rewatch that.

Spike dying was the best outcome for him all things considered

WHY DID SPIKE AND FAE NEVER FUG? THEY BETTER FUG IN THE MOVIE! CHO BETTER GET SUM PUSSAY!

they were too similar, and both hated themselves

Faye comes back to the ship because Jet and Spike are like her new home because her home is gone, but Spike leaves to finish off Vicious. Jet just fixes his ship because it's all he has. Julia gets killed by a goon in front of Spike. Spike kills Vicious, but then dies face down on a flight of stairs.

Cause the show is ass. Of course a shit show is gonna have a shit ending.

ALL ANIME SERIES SUCK

you'd def be able to see ed's clit in those tights.

watch space dandy
you will feel better and dandy, baby

Attached: boobiesbaby.jpg (474x263, 28K)

Oh well. Whatever happens, happens.

its the blues

finally watched that last month. hard to pay attention to the (plot?). satisfying to watch, but nothing thatll win awards

I actually really enjoyed it for the most part. Aside from some sparse, odd tranny shit, it was enjoyable with great animation, art and characters, and I don't normally watch anime.

so what happens to Fae? Jet fugs her?

he ditches his crew to find his girlfriend, who is being pursued by big bad guy
random mook shoots and kills his girlfriend
spike gets mad and fights big bad guy
spike wins but then he dies
honestly it was really lame and hamfisted

Ed decides to leave the Bebop to chase her father and Ein follows
Faye returns from the search for her past with the realization that her past doesn't matter, and what really matters is what she had
At the same time Spike reunites with and then immediately loses his own past.
Faye and Spike briefly reunite with Faye seeking to push on with her life with the Bebop (or potentially just Spike) while Spike is determined to kill Vicious and die, closing his past and his future in one "Bang"
Jet, now bereft of the freeloaders goes back to Mars to fuck some Feng Shui jailbait

this, literally this, the ending is purposefully tragic because Watanabe probably wanted us to have this "hollow" feeling of sadness at the end of everything, actually a lot of eps give you this same feeling

damn i needa watch this again

that episode with the blues harmonica kid was such a trippy episode. ironically, he turns infantile the moment he ages

I'm actually glad there weren't any sexual relationships onboard Bebop. It made for different, better relationships between the characters.

Lethal Weapon came out waaay before, I can never forget bebop came out in 98 thanks to every episode's theme ending with "copyright 1998 sunrise".

I CAN FEEL IT REACHING OUT, AND MOVING CLOSER

Anime and manga never ever have a good ending. They all fucking suck

Attached: coolville.jpg (1280x720, 197K)

honestly i prefer it this way, he already had a lover in the anime, it would make no sense, Faye and Spike were just partners

Pretty much every episode had a bittersweet if not straight up sad ending so it's fitting that the ending of the series was similar.

agreed desu. would've been too easy to say "spike and faye are lovers now!!!"

for me the saddest ep was that one with the blind girl, the ost in this ep is so fucking sad and the story itself that i couldn't continue watching the anime for like 1 week and a half

>and I don't normally watch anime
That's why you think Cowboy Bebop is good.
You haven't been exposed to anything that wasn't on fucking toonami.

all rihgt all right, it just seems like its older. i wonder if pesci is supposed to be faye...

I wouldn't be surprised if Netflix does this

It's a great ending. Spike chooses to go after Vicious knowing he probably won't come back alive because the alternative is running away from his problems for the rest of his life.

right yeah. "hey spike nice to hear you again! wheres my bro?...fuck, hes dead isnt he?"

it would be the most cliche shit ever, they being only partners/friends is way better than just "le femme fatale fucks the protagonist xdddd" kinda relationship.

Samurai Champloo

I totally forgot about this anime. Only seen it once.

Attached: youre-gonna-carry-that-feel.jpg (650x650, 42K)

>yfw Ed is played by a 12yo m to f tranny

will anything ever top this?

youtube.com/watch?v=5zFEjvS9nFw

the ending wasn't even that sad, spike wanted to die and was kinda insufferable anyway.

the saddest ending is the one where the girl leaves and also the one with the war veteran tranny.

>because the alternative is running away from his problems for the rest of his life.
And because at that point he had nothing left to live for.

Whatever dude, I didn't even know what to expect when I jumped into it but ended up binge watching it. If it was shit, I would have turned it off.

>Dub

Just because this isn't Yea Forums doesn't mean that this is Yea Forums you uncultured swine.

The ending of this one hit me harder than Bebop.

fae wanted to fug

i've watched the anime in japanese but i like the dub too, i just picked the first video with the scene i wanted to show that i saw

def

The dub is fine you sperg

>he doesnt acknowledge the english dub superiority when he sees it
face it, some shows are perfect in english

The dub is ass.
inb4
>The creator prefers the dub!

Ignore the autist, Cowboy Bebop is a great show period. Yea Forums claims otherwise though because it's popular among people who haven't seen much anime

What's a good series for someone whose only seen Bebop, Evangelion, Berserk and Death Note?

Is Samurai Champloo good?

I fucking hate how they all just fucking said "bye" after admitting how much they cared for one another and enjoyed their company. The show pussed out by not having Mugen and Jin die leaning against one another after their swords broke in the failed duel so I don't know why they can't keep the happy ending going.

Spike's past was bound to catch up to him, and he was ready for it to happen from the word go. His brazen attitude throughout the show is representative of his acceptance that he's living a life he never deserved / a dream he was bound to eventually wake up from.

He accepted that he wouldn't survive his escape from the syndicate yet he would up doing so. Julia was the best and worst thing that happened to him. Without her there's no telling how far up the ranks he would have risen before his nature set a self destructive course within the syndicate.

Spike and Vicious are dual fates that were set in motion from the start. Vicious was always the brighter, more cunning soul. Vicious couldn't catch Spike in the midst of his escape from the syndicate, but he was able to keep Julia in tow. He was aware of Spike and Julia's trist, and he allowed it to continue because it gave him an edge / power over Spike. Vicious respected and was driven by Spike's true potential; however, Spike's acceptance towards his own path set Vicious into a spiral of destruction that would eventually consume them both.

Spike's dream state / second life and Vicious' coup d'état were merely the death knell towards the ultimate consummation of their shared fate. The side stories, world building, and trials / tribulations we see the crew undergo are merely distractions from the underlying plot from the few interconnected sessions. Vicious could never accept Spike living a life wasted on the belief that he could ever be what he truly believed he was meant to be. Spike wanted more out of life but never found what he was searching for, and he died knowing he never could reach that potential. Julia was the best and worst thing that ever happened to him...

>The dub is fine you sperg
Do you watch your movies dubbed?

yes

...

>Is Samurai Champloo good?

haven't watched it yet, but i'm pretty fucking sure it is good, maybe not on Cowboy Bebop's level tho, Gungrave is the first one that comes to my mind that i could recommend

>What's a good series for someone whose only seen Bebop, Evangelion, Berserk and Death Note?
Depends. What kind of movies do you like?

>Is Samurai Champloo good?
Yes.

>haven't watched it yet, but i'm pretty fucking sure it is good
Fucking kill yourself.

bro, substitute berserk for "Death parade" and "trigun", im the exact same. only seen those, namely due to Yea Forums

The drifting in-and-out of lives that defines relationships is a somewhat reoccurring thing in Watanabe's work, Personally I like it, it feels more realistic than having a big dramatic ending to these relationships. I think everyone's had people in their life who were major parts of it for a long time and then one day they're just gone.

????

Jin had a waifu waiting, faggot.

Well written summary, thank you.

no one wants to read while they trying to lay down and watch some shit nerd

You are saying something is good without having ever watched it.
You should literally kill yourself.

I love how everything in your list is entry level pleb except Legend of the Galactic Heroes which is pretty much a meme anime at this point even tho its actually good.

I love the ending, I think it might be my favorite ending of any TV series

>it's critically acclaimed
So is Captain Marvel but it's shit.

Opinion on Case Closed/Detective Conan?

and what it has to do with anything? he's recommending anime to someone that usually doesn't watch anime, it's not like the dude is an expert and wants some unknown shit

its only a meme because its great. ive never watched it, but anyone who has agrees. i tried finding a dub and apparently it doesnt exist, so im not gonna watch it. shame, but im not reading 200 episodes of captioning

I only saw Cowboy Bebop for the first time last year, 20 years after it premiered and what a fool I was to have not seen it sooner. It's easily one of the finest things I've ever had the privilege to watch. It also helps that it was a self-contained season that didn't run down in quality year after year like soo many other shows. I could have did without the feature length movie which didn't add anything and was ultimately unsatisfying since we know how things go in the show.

I have no hope for the Netflix version. I happy that John Cho was cast because I think he's perfect for Spike but this should have been made several years ago when he was a bit younger. Otherwise we know they'll fuck it up with their SJW agenda driven bullshit!!!FACT!!!

idk about captain marvel being critically acclaimed but ok

If you think about it as a space western/space samurai story then it makes sense. Kurosawa's shit was sad.

Its capeshit. It's shit by definition.

There's no real overarching plot, but that was kind of the point. They just handed the basic concepts over to a bunch of different directors and let them go wild

Stop being a retard. You know what we mean by dubs. And it ain't repeating digits.

Yeah, when she fully realizes her past in that episode and when she confronts Spike before he heads off in their final interaction always hit me hard. Faye arguably takes the biggest hit at the end of the series due to finally coming to terms with who she is and losing one of the closest individuals in her current life. Not saying it's worse than Jet dealing with losing his best friend, but it always strikes a deep cord with me. This series deserves more recognition beyond the fucking anime medium it's stuck with.

The entire thing was tragic you were just too blind to see.

that shit was brutal to watch

No, it really doesn't. It's just less jarring than usual because it's a relatively good job on an excellent show and the subject matter is entirely non-Japanese.

Detective Conan is literally the best anime to ever exist.

kinda reminds you that you were once a happy child. would a young "you" want to look up to the current you?

Great minds!!!FACT!!!

KYS, contrain-san.

Everything about this anime seemed perfect. The soundtrack, the story, hell even the VA in the dub felt on point. Was it just lighting in a bottle?

I watched alot of episodes back in the day when I was a kid. I only got to watch it when I'd spend the night at my friend's house because I didn't have cable. I just looked it up and had no idea that it's a on-going series still. Haven't watched a single episode since before 9/11.

>No, it really doesn't. It's just less jarring than usual because it's a relatively good job on an excellent show and the subject matter is entirely non-Japanese.
Yes it does. You are blinded by your weeb Yea Forums elitism bias.

So what do you think happens next? Spike's obviously gone,I never see Ed returning but she probably does well for herself. I could see her savant skills making her some sort of key player in the universe while remaining enigmatic and eccentric. Like maybe Jet or Faye see a report on her having developed some sort of technological breakthrough, or initiating a major shutdown or some other sort of happening that's ultimately harmless as a huge prank. They just kinda look shocked to see her and shrug and go about their day, reasoning thats it'd be something to expect from her.

Faye sticks around on the bebop for a while while Jet manages her bounties since it works out decently for them mutually, and they're both lonely people event hough they'd never admit to needing each other's company. Eventually Faye starts going out for days and weeks at a time, her restlessness getting the best of her. Even then she still comes to him for help every now and then, then less and less often, and then one day she's just gone.

Jet continues to bounty hunt but as age catches up to him, he works more with a passing assortment of young bounty hunters , but as time goes on the services of bounty hunters becomes less and less needed, just like the west eventually became more tame, Vicious' death probably also leads to the syndicate declining in power without any order. Entering his 50's, Jet settles down and opens a diner when the bebop is on its last legs, becoming a novelty to visitors interested in hearing about the "old days" when space was filled with criminals and bounty hunters. On some nights he'll even tell some stories about the old gang.

i think the majority of people consider it leagues ahead of your typical anime

I can produce a better title for any genre you care to pick.

We're all searching for whether we're actually alive or just dreaming, user. You're gonna carry that weight.

Not that guy but super robo

I know this seems retarded but if I remember correctly Watanabe said Spike didn't officially confirm he died and that the ending is ambiguous.

>majority of people
Eh no.
Some people that watched toonami think its the best anime ever.
Some people that expand their world think its just alright.
The overwhelming vast majority of people say "Are you talking about japanese cartoons?"

You remembered correctly, he did say that.

But Spike is fucking dead m8

>its popular amongst people who havent seen much anime
Just like every board here. Anything that is popular must be unpopular on this site. Although with anime i think the fact that it managed to grab the attention of an audience that isnt typically interested in anime is a testament to how good it actually is. Studio Ghibli manages to do this as well.

Good list is good.

Attached: me likey.jpg (103x122, 3K)

If you can make it through nuBerserk, you can make it through anything.

For classic comedy recommend Slayers and Sailor Moon. Dragon Ball and DBZ up to Cell/Buu saga is good.

Early Gundam like war in the pocket is fine if you want a grounded mecha war series.

>The overwhelming vast majority of people say "Are you talking about japanese cartoons?"
Not that guy but I wish this were still the case around where I live. Most people here are at least are familiar enough about anime that they won't shut the fuck up about it when the learn I watch it too. But they all have the knowlege of fucking youtube clip lists and whatever fucking shit's on Netflix. I fucking wish normies were oblivous to it.

I watch Detective Conan and no one will ever respond when I mention it.

You're an obnoxious faggot. Slit your wrists inside a tub of running water.

Yeah but you have to remember the mage's prophecy about the stars dying and at the very end of the credits it shows one that is shimmering before it goes out.

Shouldn't you be standing in line to suck Disney's cock more?

>Detective Conan
It's on Netflix now actually

It's not that they know the shows I like and wanna talk about them, I'd actually be cool with it if they watched the same stuff but they all just wanna talk about anime in general or "anime huh? have you seen one punch man that shit's sick". It's just tiresome

>kinda reminds you that you were once a happy child. would a young "you" want to look up to the current you?

I've never been happy and knew that I never would be, so no......

Oh come the fuck on user. It objectively is better than most anime, considering most anime is wish fulfillment garbage.

>I sit on the computer all day and complain about everything
>I'm an expert on everything
>everything sucks
>play the next anime
>I can list better anime

Dubious achievement. Kill yourself.

>So just watch a series that you know will get 0 attention from normies.
No, it's "anime" in general.

>It's on Netflix now
I highly doubt episode 935 is on Netflix.
Also I bet Netflix uses the dub which ends before Best Girl is even introduced.

>It objectively is better than most anime
Only if you've ever seen anime on Toonami.
There's tons of better shit out there.

>>everything sucks
I said that more than half of the titles on the list were good you cum guzzling niggerfaggot.

While there are those that watch anime for the culture in and of itself, those that want a good story that transcends medium, and those that couldn't care less because it's animated. Anyone that has watched it and looks for something beyond the medium can tell it has more going for it than the vast majority of animated television series. There's a reason it lasted as long as it did in American television alongside dragon ball Z compared to any other anime, and it's the only non Shonen style anime that is revered as much as it is. That in and of itself is not proof of its greatness, but you'd be an idiot to say it's not an exceptional product in and of itself. Expanding ones world would lead one to see it's just alright? What other productions would push Bebop down to the "alright" status? The vast majority of people as a whole can't be trusted to depict practically anything of quality in congruence.

Is anything CB is seinen.

Actually go out and watch more shit.
There are tons of anime better than fucking Bebop.

I'm not really that knowledgeable on Detective Conan because I never got into it but this is it no (or at least a more recent series)?

Attached: case closed.jpg (1477x1153, 284K)

Never seen it. You're too fucking stupid to discern the point the previous user was making. Throw in a toaster, you lard-gulping fuckwit, nobody exists on this planet who could possibly miss your sizzled corpse.

Because Spike is young and foolish.

Glad they cast a fifty year old man to play him

List user here, hadn't responded to you yet. What series would you recommend I check out based on that list?

Horseshit. I would say its easily top 10-15 animes out there. At least top 20. Which in and of itself means its better than most anime.

I enjoyed reading that, thanks user.

Attached: thumbs up.jpg (1000x800, 61K)

>I SIT AROUND ON THE COMPUTER ALL DAY AND WATCH EVERYTHING
>I'M AN EXPERT ON EVERYTHING
>EVERYTHING SUCKS
>Except these
>I'm an expert

Name three

Pretty much this. Bebop is beloved by a much wider audience than just anime enthusiasts. It's more than likely one of the less than a handful of anime that most people on Yea Forums collectively enjoy without ever needing talk about actual anime. It's an amalgamation of talent and magic across the board. Shit like this rarely happens.

>Being this booty-blasted over being called out as a casual

Case Closed is the dub title because for some reason they thought Robert E Howards estate would sue over the name Conan.

Would you have preferred an ending where Spike survived anons? y/n?

I'm not doubting that there are diamonds in the sea of shit that is anime but don't try to kid yourself saying there's a lot of shows on or above its level. It's not the Mount Everest of shows, but nothing has had the impact and longevity other than Stand Alone Complex. I'm talking an impact on people that don't visit anime boards and watch season shit for the sake of sifting through it all.

I'd count myself included, but only because I was able to catch solid shows on Cartoon Network before it become absolutely shit. For a handful of years there were some stellar shows aired on a weekly basis, but that time has been long gone. That fucking clown world meme strikes again.

No matter how I put it
Cowboy bebop it's as good as anime can get
it barely classifies as anime in my book
it trashes all of the concepts and notions of a regular japanese animation, and drives beyond that
pure unadulterated passion and love for storytelling. I WISH I could write something half as good

>It objectively is better than most anime
Yeah but let's be real that's because there is so much anime that get's produced and there for so much shit anime get's produced. It's definitely past the 1st standard deviation on the curve but there is still plenty of anime as good or better.

>but nothing has had the impact and longevity other than Stand Alone Complex. I'm talking an impact on people that don't visit anime boards and watch season shit for the sake of sifting through it all.
I don't think that is an indication of quality just airing at the right place and the right time to get popular. If we are going by the greatest impact outside of anime fans then DBZ must be the greatest anime of all time because it has had by far the most impact on general popular culture.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket
PLANETES
Tatami Galaxy
imo ofc I still really like Bebop

The way I read it, either way, Spike is dead.
If he's not dead, then the only woman he ever lover was murdered in cold blood by his past partner or whatever, and any connections to his past have been almost completely severed, leaving him the same purposeless, emotionless husk he was at the beginning of the show. Maybe ever more so, because now he wouldn't have any flicker of a chance of resolution with his past seeing as he has destroyed it completely.
Death is almost mercy.
Which is probably why it's most likely that he isn't dead. Jet always says he "won't go back for Spike" but he always does, and Spike has been through worse than a sword slash and lived. He's a tough bastard. I would imagine he's waking up back on the bebop, in bandages again, just like it was nothing but a dream.

I'm included in the group that likes anime that transcends the animated medium because first and foremost it can tell a solid story and evoke an emotional response. Not sure where you get the idea that I visit anime websites. I can't stand the modern day state of the medium.

All of them having to go their separate ways was foreshadowed a few times thought the series. Sure, they all get along, but they have their own lives to live.

The show is best watched one episode a week. They want you to get attached to the characters.

>yu yu hakusho

I'LL BEAT THE SHIT OUTTA YOU, (YOU)SKE.

Yes and Decker is a replicant and Dumbledore is gay.

Creators say dumb things after their masterpieces end just to stir up some relevancy.

>Not sure where you get the idea that I visit anime websites
Because you are posting on one.

There's a few good ones out there.

Yeah, if it was 10 years ago. They'll probably do something where Spike acts like a doofus who tries a bunch of corny pickup lines on Faye, but she rejects him because she's strong and independent and doesn't need a man.

>reading a visual medium
Yeah, no thanks.

And it's also indicative of most relationships we all endure. Very few interpersonal relationships last a life time. Childhood friends, school friends, college / work / church / hobby friends, and even family connections eventually fade. Sometimes it's quick and painless, sometimes it's heavily drama fueled, and often enough paths just detour harmoniously. In the instance of Bebop it's much more drama fueled. Nonetheless, it's a reminder that connections are fragile and short lived most of the time. We are fortunate to see Jet, Spike, Faye, Ed, and Eines' connections through a rarefied lens.

The trade-off is that the lines are delivered by actual actors instead of C and D-list hacks.

>Steve Blum
>Beau Billingslea
>Wendee Lee
>C and D-list hacks
Uh huh, yeah, sure

Yeah they are actually C and D list.
All they do is voice over.
And that is considered shit tier in USA.

>yfw the star going out at the end could be either Spike's or Vicious

Attached: 1541365124634.jpg (478x388, 32K)

(You)

You must not be an American.
We don't treat voice actors nearly as well as other countries do.
Only the shit actors voluntarily do voice work in America.

She cute

real tlak, whats the deal with the indian dude? is he in the present in the series, or telling an ancient story or what

>if someone does voice acting in Japanese they're an actual actor but if they do it in English they're a hack
Tone it down Ken-sama

he's right, all cartoons are dubbed. lmao you got btfo little laddy.

Attached: ae2.png (500x294, 23K)

Not exactly.
In America voice acting isn't really considered acting, so only the shitters go do it.
In Japan, voice acting is treated very well and thus many people go into it.

>hunter x hunter crap

plebbit

Voice actors and screen actors have pretty much always been separate fields of work and no one is arguing that they get payed the same. The argument against you is that the quality of the English VA's performances in Bebop is stellar compared to the Japanese cast. Steve and Wendee are VA royalty, along with Julia's VA. You're an idiot.

> han is a deadbeat dad whose son turns into a school shooter
> Luke is a suicidal failure who abandoned everyone after trying to murder his nephew
> Vaders sacrifice and redemption will now be pointless since sheev is alive

Why does Disney hate the original trilogy so much? What's next someone digging up uncle Owens scorched corpse and pissing on it?

>quality of the English VA's performances in Bebop is stellar compared to the Japanese cast
That's literally not true.

>puts hunter x hunter in crap
>puts Gurren Lagann above good.

kys your no taste faggot

that's what spike gets for taking vicious' girl

Only Japanese cartoons are dubbed in their native language, in Western cartoons the voices are recorded before the animation is done. This is because the Western principles of animation were developed by Disney leading up to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and were designed to make the animation look as good as possible. Meanwhile, the Japanese principles of animation were developed during the production of Astro Boy and were developed to make the animation as cheap and as quick as possible.

Attached: 1549399321421.png (1366x768, 681K)

it's objectively one of the best English dubs of all time, regardless of whether you prefer the original dialogue. The quality of both is fantastic as a whole, and a significant drop off is not to be found when one chooses one over the other.

>in Western cartoons the voices are recorded before the animation is done
This sounds very false.

The dub is arguably better than the sub. As per usual in anime. The male characters sound like women.

>The dub is arguably better than the sub. As per usual in anime

You get way more life out of a character and better animation if you have a sound to animate to. You can get the cartoons done a lot quicker if you wait to record the sound after animation is complete, but you're left without letting an actor give his or her personal touch that an animator could add to the scene..

Name one anime English dub made post-Bebop that's actually terrible.

I know its done like that in high productions animations like pixar, that way the animators can accurately match the way the words are spoken. It would be silly to animate it first and try to make the voice actors match it. Also the voice actors can actually act when they arent forced to match an animation.

All of them.

That's not a real answer.

I watch movies in my native language.

Yes it is. Its just not the answer you can easily rebut.

which death is sadder

The dub is great. Dubs in general are fine. You, and all your fellow insufferable sub-only self-righteous cunts, have shit taste.

That's because it's not an answer to my question. You can't even name one.

It's a standard in all Western animation. Not even the cheapest Hanna-Barbera shows recorded the dialogue after the animation.

because spike dies

Trigun has good characters, good humor with effective drama when it hits and are mostly self contained episodes, except for key moments in the series like with Bebop. It's got that sci-fi western theme as well.

Then after that, Rurouni Kenshin.

Babbys first anime. This wasnt deep. It wasn't even good apart from the animation and partly the soundtrack.

I just will never be able to understand how they were able to make such a shitty conclusion to a world with so much potential. The crime syndicate stuff was the most boring shit of the entire show.

I'm not even that user, but are you fucking joking? He named more than one. You can't say "you can't even name one!" when someone gave you a huge list.

>Yu Yu Hakusho

Almost every episode of the show is like a mini movie.

Name one that he named.

PROTIP: YOU CAN'T BECAUSE HE DIDN'T FUCKING NAME ANYTHING

Isn’t that the entire point of her character though? Innocent schoolgirl with hopes and dreams who gets involved in some crazy ass spaceship accident and wakes up hundreds of years later after cryostasis and has to do some horrible things to survive.

This one.

Thanks to faggots in /gif/ who kept making webms of it and I finally decided to watch it. All downhill from here

I woulda liked a good ending, and that can include mister spike dying. I mean, I'm not overly bothered by the ending, shows have to end and endings can be hard for serial shows.

But it was obvious they just killed him for no reason cause they had no idea how to end it, and they thought they could trick people into thinking it's deep.

This show was such a chore to get through. The only interesting episodes were the ones about Faye's past.

people are retards?

Attached: 51580535.jpg (360x360, 16K)

I wish they would fucking release it already. Also they should upload the full series to Netflix.

Attached: file.png (990x694, 478K)

Good list
Add Giant Robo

Doesn't have the same tone of Bebop at all but still a good show.

You never cuck your best friend if he's in the mafia.

Spike doesn't die. The crew all get back together after the show ends. How do I know this? Because the end of each episode is narrated BY THE CHARACTERS THEMSELVES. Not the actors who voice the characters - the characters themselves. They make a TV show about their adventures after the events the TV show depicts are over.

>the greatest anime of all time is doraemon
And the greatest comic is Garfield

My favorite is when Faye returns to her hometown and her old friend is now 80 and with dementia. I also like the Pierrot the Clown episode- probably one of the wackier episodes of the series with that bizarre clown.

Isn't that one a meme because it's vaguely pro-Fascism or something?

In the samurai's theology, life is only a dream and death is the true awakening. I think that's what it is.

Spike had to either die or experience a major change in character for his arc to conclude. I think that the latter would be pretty difficult to pull off but not impossible. Spike would have to wake up from the nightmare of his past somehow

>The guy who played Bushmaster as Jet Black
I liked Bushmaster but the casting in general feels like they've just thrown darts at a smattering of random actors. I still don't know what they were thinking with fucking senile-ass Harold as Spike either.

Dub niggers are actually the number one most retarded people when it comes to media of any kind. You must have the mental capacity of your average Jersey Shore and walking dead fan to not be able to comprehend that translating from Japanese to English and believing that you can deliver the same line the same way is an actual possibility.

Attached: 1535473081680.png (680x779, 420K)

I still sometimes cry listening to it.

Actually, you could say I almost killed myself after watching it.

To be fair, I had a death in the family and I have having hard time coping. Also depressed as hell. I bottled up my emotions. Somehow I ended up watching Bebop again and saw the final eps and I just started sobbing. I put a knife to my wrists. Then I sobbed abunch more and thankfuy felt better.

Has anyone else used a sad film or show to deal with emotions you had pent up and couldn't deal with dirdctly?

Funimation is a den of snakes and sjw's now.

Tragic and misery endings make the best stories.

Netflix never cared about how well actor fits into original character. I won't be surprised if they choose boy to play Ed.

>Has anyone else used a sad film or show to deal with emotions you had pent up and couldn't deal with dirdctly?
It's called catharsis, bro. Read your Aristotle.

I much prefer his older show on NBC

Attached: 7PQi.gif (167x167, 253K)

This show is On Demand but without subtitles or dub. How do I add those?

He just wanted to help people and give kids a safe place to grow up. ;_;

Weird. I thought I had already used the term catharsis in my post. I do remember that from high school English classes.

>You must have the mental capacity of your average Jersey Shore and walking dead fan to not be able to comprehend that translating from Japanese to English and believing that you can deliver the same line the same way is an actual possibility.
Not to mention that if you know even a little of the foreign language in question that understanding can massively improve your understanding of what you get from the scene.

>dtb is entry level
Yeah bruv, the series that started 12 years ago and died 10 years ago is entry level. The series, that to this day, still has people on the internet that deny the existence of a sequel is entry level. The series that people rarely ever bring up is entry level.
