>tl;dr what are your "must see" movies from 2010-2018?
I'm gonna be honest. I've pretty much missed out on this decade of film and TV (though I prefer shows that have already finished).
I haven't seen many of the big award winners, B-list (I guess, stuff below the superhero tier blockbusters, but I haven't seen some things as big as the likes of Mad Max or Blade Runner) or the foreign offerings from around 2012 onward.
Could you help me out with your personal "must see" of each year?
For the record this is mine, from what little I've seen.
2010: The Fighter* 2011: Warrior* 2012: Spring Breakers 2013: Blue Is the Warmest Colour 2014: Whiplash 2015: Straight Outta Compton* 2016: American Honey 2017: The Beguiled* 2018: A Star Is Born
*for lack of a better option, they're clearly not a 10/10 for me whereas the others debatably are
Thanks pal, there's a fair few I've not heard of there.
I loved Melancholia, but found The Skin I Live In, Tree Of Life, Holy Motors and Boyhood slightly disappointing (although I enjoyed all of them).
Blake King
Nothing this decade has been canon worthy whatsoever. Absolutely nothing. Even the passable meme movies like Fury Road and BR2049 would be shit tier if they were released decades ago.
Ayden Phillips
Prayer Before Dawn, amazing underrated movie
Dominic Robinson
There aren't many good ones, the only two I can think of are Grand Budapest Hotel and Dunkirk.

>2011 Tyrannosaur >2012 Amour >2013 A Field in England >2014 Edge of Tomorrow >2015 Anomalisa >2016 The Wailing >2017 A Ghost Story >2018 Shoplifters
if you like horror, I'd also rec A Dark Song (2016) and One Cut of the Dead (2017)
Whiplash is the only decent film on your list lmao
Aiden Hill
Black Panther, blackkklansman, get out, moonlight, lady bird, the list goes on!

No one will even remember any of those in 10 years when the political shilling dies.
Carson Harris

Wyatt Collins
Ladybird is political? I’ve never seen it, does she get blacked or something
Tyler Taylor
it isn't and she doesn't. It's just a coming-of-age story about an obnoxious teenager and her relationships with her mom and family/friends/teachers.
