Yes he absolutely is supernatural in the original time line.
He takes 6 shots of 357 and keeps operating for hours. Then takes 6 more plus 2 to the eyes/head and keeps going.
In 4 he gets hit by a truck and blasted with tons of 12 gauge rounds and falls down a 20-30 foot mineshaft and is able to crawl out.

He's not Jason, but he's definitely not human.

No one doubts he's supernatural in the old sequels, but when considering just the first movie, he's not necessarily supernatural.

I know almost nothing about either of these franchises. Isn't Michael Myers a real human bean? How did he take so much damage?

Both of them not speaking just makes me realize how cringey a studio movie would actually be.

He's not a zombie like Jason, or a weird spirit/ghost like Freddy. In certain sequels he's unambiguously supernatural, tanking gunfire from 7+ police officers and surviving, while others just seem to paint him as supremely focused.

You'd already know that if this was a legit movie then they'd have Myers being ultra sneaky and repeatedly stabbing Jason in the back or outright nerfing him so Myers doesn't get obliterated after one punch

He ramped his thumb into someone's skull.
He ripped a guys entire lower jaw and cheek open with 1 hand while hanging into the roof of a car.
He entered a police station with at least 3 armed cops and slaughtered them all.
