Star Wars Episode 9: Will of The Force information

Press events have started for the EP9 trailer. I do not represent a entertainment company, I do not work for one, I was not invited to a press event at celebration, I was not one of 30 individuals to see ten minutes of footage and the trailer. Not a Star Wars fan so apologies to any nerds if I get some vague lore detail wrong. Typing from my tablet in my hotel room.

C-3PO's "death". The resistance finds a prequel trilogy-era droid factory. Within the factory Poe, Fynn, Chewbacca and 3PO try to activate the droids to slow down the '709th' (I asked what these were, they confirmed to me the 709th are the new 'red legion' of Stormtroopers seen in the trailer) which are pursuing them on the frigid "sanctuary moon" (not endor, I asked). They find records of a "ancient" ship that crashed on the moon, the "Old Confederacy" (The racist bug people from The Phantom Menace I presume?) recovered the wreckage of the vessel and a "ancient" combat droid which our "heroes" discover the confederacy intented to use to influence new droid designs. Unable to activate the droids they are forced to download the 'ancient' rambo droid into 3PO as it has access to the factory and can activate the droids. This process seemingly merges the two personalities. There is forced humor dialogue exchanged between the rambo 3po and chewbacca as it forcefully takes his bowcaster to defend it's self, stating it will "pull" chewbaccas arms off and leave him to their "pursuers", it's really fucking forced and comes across as fan service but I have no idea what "fans" this is aimed at. Several(10-20) droids are activated but they're in BAD shape, 1950s Aston Martin DB2 that's been rusting in a barn for 50 years bad, they're the bird-headed battle droids from the prequel movies. They're confused, disorinated, literally falling apart with more cartoon network tier gags like one droid climbing off the assembly line,[cont below]

[cont] declaring in a voice that sounds like the actor was huffing helium "I feel great!" before immediately collapsing into pieces like it was made of lego. Ten or more droids are then commanded by the Rambo to "repel the flesh sacks" and they charge off to the entrance tripping over each other with atleast sixty five (hyperbole) stolen gags from the Three Stooges and Mr Bean as they run off to their (presumed) demise. Rambo 3PO proceeds to open up a path deeper into the facility and instructs them on a path out before forced-heroically shutting the blast door that was seperating Rambo-3PO and the other three, followed by Rambo-3PO having a short dialogue between himself and the 'ancient droid' asking why he sacrificed himself for the "meaty ones" before responding that it's his lot in life. The sombre moment is quickly destroyed by a battle droid shouting that another battle droid had so much to live for before being cut down by blaster fire from off-screen, the clip cuts at this point.

It was only 7-10 minutes of footage, but from what I saw it looked cool but that kept being interupted with really fucking corny dialogue/gags like in the prequel movies. This'll be my last message, anything else isn't me.

I've seen the prequels but I don't remember the droids having helium voices, though it's been awhile.

Imagine having to try to appeal to prequel fans to save your franchise. Yikes.

This is too stupid, ticks too many disney check boxes, and is too low effort on the writer's part to be made up.

We'll find out if it lines up with the trailer in 8 hours
