yeah, i think so too. i might be wrong but i really feel like there are way less mid tier (in terms of budgets) games and movies coming out. it's all basic indie shit or big blockbusters. neat little self contained movies that don't look cheap like upgrade seem more rare these days. maybe i' biased, maybe it's nostalgia, but it doesn't feel that way.

i should clarify that i'm using upgrade as an example of a movie that doesn't look cheap
