Has it aged well?
Has it aged well?
It's nolan so you know damn well it didn't.
Any of his movies are still better than Dunkirk
Honestly no. The visuals still hold up but it feels like it's trying too hard to be postmodern and cosmopolitan in thta clumsy early 00s way.
It's a fun movie.
In English, lupita.
Yeah. The effects are gonna stand the test of time and the concepts it presents are also timeless since they aren't rooted in any contemporary topics of the time.
Pseudo-intellectual-fags like you two are cringe as fuck to read
You mad? Blockbuster schlock.
Reddit cumrag faggot.
Still a good watch... I’ve probably watched it once per year since it came out. It’s a comfy heist flick
Based dishonest retard
>dishonest
Not that guy, but what do you mean by this?
You may not consider it a good movie personally, but it's by definition not schlock due to the fact it's an original IP and had a lot of work put into it. That and it was unanimously praised for a lot of this.
Haha, what
He’s the Yea Forums version of a dishonest filmmaker....the post has no truth to it, not even for him...
This, I've re-watched it last year and it held up better than I thought. Definitely better than Dark Knight and Interstellar. Prestige and Memento are still his best movies though.
You're asking if a movie from this same decade has aged well? It's still the same movie, and if you somehow stopped liking it in the less than ten years it has existed, it's YOU who changed.
I tried watching it for the first time recently and fell asleep, I’m narcoleptic though
Nolan movies are like milk.
>original IP
>Paprika ripoff
choose one
Not at all. But Nolan's other kinos (Interstellar, Prestige, Begins) I still enjoy very much.
It was terrible from the beginning. It was the first time that I thought a widely successful movie was shockingly bad. Things seemed to take a serious turn for the worse in 2010 in pop culture, and kind of just culture in general.
Yes. It's amazing. The only legitimate criticism is that dreams could have been way more surreal. Other than that it's excellent and only disliked by contrarian nerds.
I remember in the old days, i kept calling Nolan a hack and everyone treated me like a lunatic
Fucking social pressure is responsible for 95% of all human opinions
>there's no kick on the plane to wake anyway up
>close to an 8 hour flight
What did they do 3 days in the rainy indian dudes dream? Cobb's body eventually drowned and ended up back in limbo. How did cobb and saito get out if their bodies were dead in the river?
aye
It didn’t age well in 6 months. I missed it in the cinema and all my mates said it was one of the best movies ever made and it was average as fuck.
Also Leo was awake at the end
In my opinion no
Paprika is better
Hell, even that Futurama episode about space bees was better
For a movie taking place in dreams Inception was extremely unimaginative and boring
In my opinion the worst Nolan film, worse than Dark Knight even
Imagine being this contrarian
this.
are you retarded?
Yes
I still maintain it’s in the top 10 films ever made.
No other film has fused sight and sound in such a way before
haven't watched it in a while but wasn't it stated in the film that if you kill yourself in limbo you wake up? that's why Cobb laid down on the train tracks with his wife
unironically kys
South Park absolutely destroyed it, when they brought in Matt Hasslebeck and the pizza guy I fuckin lost it
>Pseudo-intellectual-fags like you two are cringe as fuck to read
Yea Forums in a nutshell
> has a turd aged well
>retard and probably susbcriber of /r/luciddreaming alert
Nolan summed up his sheer hackery by describing the film as an
>contemporary scifi actioner set within the architecture of the mind...
Wow, so deep. It’s a flick about dream heists.
It's shown in the film both Fisher and Ariande die in limbo and wake up in the snow level and complete the mission. Then every gets kicked to the rain level. Nothing ever is done to wake everyone up on the plane. Also....besides all that, the whole point of saito going to limbo was the heavy sedation, you can't wake up. If Saito could have woken up earlier, they would have. the sedative must have lasted hours at least.
Was this the last Ellen Page movie before the wall or she was already lost there?
>a chaotic neural network like the brain has consistent behavior
>do this, have this result, everytime, there are no side-effects and hidden variables
>it's like game levels
Inception sucks
Brainlets
She was still cute here, my tween self had a crush on her when the movie came out
>stop enjoying things
It came out in 2010 you try hard retard
enjoy it all you want, just please don't call it profound
It's been completely forgotten, so yes.
>2010
holy fuck, I knew it was ancient, but not that ancient
BLAAAAARRRRPPPPP
>both are about dreams, therefore it's a ripoff
wait, isn't it Denis?
It's still pretty good, the wakeup part really is too long though.
The dialogue is just awful but I really like the movie.
Bump
Why is the prestige so comfy That's where you randomly fall asleep?
Fuck no, the movie was a rip-off of paprika in the first place
