The Green Mile

SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON
SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH
SOOOOOOOOON

some kind of monster

This album has one Godlike track, a couple of good songs and the rest are fillers. So equivalent would be a movie with one great scene and the rest is garbage.

SCREAM FOR ME _______!
REVELATIONS!
*HEAVY RIFF*
OH GOD OF AIR AND ALTAIR BOW DOWN AND HEAR OUR CRIES....

This might be wrong but I think Dicadus

the prestige

something old and shitty that overstays its welcome?

planet of the apes maybe?

for the song itself Passion of the Christ or The Greatest Story ever told.

for the album Star Wars A New Hope or The Phantom Menace

RUUUUN FOOOORRRR YOOOOUR LIIIIFEEEE!!!!!

ROLLING (ROLLING)
TURNING (TURNING)
DIVING (DIVING)
GOING IN AGAIN

Anything targeting a primarily child/pre-teen audience. Something simple that creates enough stimuli to entertain mongoloids.

>tfw they started last tour's concerts with Aces High and Bruce still can pull it off

lel post your favourite song

My older bro passed away this year, but as teens, I bought him this poster. It was his favorite gift ever.

what did Iron Maiden borrow from?

>surfin through youtube and see some old song
>fuck it
>singer still has it after years and years
feels fucking awesome

CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS
THE PROPHET STARES AT HIS CRYSTAL BALL

"Hallowed by thy Name" takes a lot from Beckett's "Life's a Shadow" but they got agreement now.

Bruce's solo albums are underrated.

The Walking Dead
Starts off well, but goes on for too long

NEAR TO THE EAST
IN A PART OF ANCIENT GREECE

Such a shitty song lol

>takes a lot from Beckett's "Life's a Shadow"
Bullshit. Songs are completely different except small part with the riff that really sounds familiar. But it’s just E minor scale up and down. Anyways the guy was just broke as fuck, his iniial claim was mot fulfilled and he was paid just to fuck off.
Iron Maiden tho really were influenced heavily by UFO but didn’t not “borrowed a lot” from any band.

yes, THE bruce dickinson

They agreed on certain terms.

>They agreed on certain terms.
Yes they literally paid that guy 100000£ to fuck off, because lawsuit could be much more costly for the band. He had no chance to win this anyway, similiarities in music happen all the time. Hallowed Be Thy Name literally doesn’t borrow anything from Life’s a Shadow.

Some lines were too close tho.

>OH GOD OF AIR AND ALTAIR BOW DOWN AND HEAR OUR CRIES....
I love Revelations, it's got a nice prog vibe

Maybe. But does it qualify as “takes a lot”?

Yes and it doesn't repeat itself for 4 or more minutes like all these Maiden's epics.

OK but not every song can be 22 Acacia Avenue. The title track is good too.

>dude that's so metal lmao

COME THE DAWNING OF THE DEAD
IN FAMINE AND IN WAR
NOW THE HARLOT WOMB OF DEATH
SPITS OUT ITS ROTTEN CORE

If you weren't a metalhead in high school, you missed out on prime goth/emo girl pussy.

my first concert ever was when i was 16 (16 years ago holy fuck) and it was motorhead, dio, and iron maiden..best show ever

I find Maiden a bit repetitive, when compared to metal pioneers like Sabbath.
They still have classic songs but not as interesting or creative as other bands.

Rime of the Ancient Mariner is their best song. 2nd is Powerslave.

Why do they scream?? Do people really find this good ?

Based.

Which is the better mascot, Eddy or Vic? Also, whom would win in a fight?

Hallowed be thy sneed

FLY AS HIGH AS THE SKYYYYY

Invaders is brilliant, bar that hilarious guitar run up and down in the chorus. Hallowed by thy Name, Number of the Beast, Gangland, 22 Acacia Avenue, full of absolute bangers. Least favourite is probably Run to the Hills, the verses are solid though.

Absolutely fantastic. The sessionists he used to record these albums are excellent, it could have really broke up the monotony of Maiden's (see: Harris') chromatic obsession. Tyranny of Souls, Abduction, Omega, The Tower, Gates of Urizen, loads of fantastic tracks.

Dickinson's version of Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter is absolutely fantastic, the drumming alone is far superior. I believe Harris asked for it to be rerecorded for No Prayer for the Dying (Some cool songs on that too, for what it's worth).

do people listen to Iron Maiden unironically?
I only did for about a year at age 15 'til I found Sabbath and Slaye4.

No one listens to music unironically at all.

yeah, I grew out of it at 23-24 too. It's just white noise with propaganda sprinkled in for posterity.
I like 80's pop primarily now.

wonder how much cash steve harris made off that font?

Seventh Son is a great album

Eddie. Vic's not much more than a gimp.

number of the beast is pretty good but their first 2 albums with di'anno are underrated compared to the dickinson era

>I grew out of it at 23-24 too

Based faux nostalgia NPC

What's the tv/film equivalent of this? Would be kino

Attached: artrockstore-ayreon-into-the-electric-castle-album_1024x1024.jpg (1024x1024, 220K)

There's no way that castle would stay upright like that. 0/10.

meaning I don't actively listen to music anymore. Vast majority of it is hogwash, anyway.

Take that back, user

god i wish that were me

>>tfw they started last tour's concerts with Aces High and Bruce still can pull it off
He really can't and he should stop singing those songs if he will insist on running like a retard. Either don't run and sing what you want or run and start picking songs that you can actually sing. It's embarrasing at this point.
Maiden fanboys are usually manchildren, iron maiden it's like capeshit in that way, but still Killers, Seventh,X-factor, piece and Somewhere are all worth revisiting after some time. But if i have to choose between listen to Defenders of the faith, Mob rules, Don't break the oath or The number of the beast i'm not going to be listening fucking run to the hills for the 1000 time.

I forgot about this album, haven't heard it in like 10 years

Cheers for reminding me

I always preferred DiAnno's stuff

Less than Derek Riggs, I would guess.

God I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't stand the riff in Invaders

There is no equivalent to Hallowed Be Thy Name. I can't think ofa TV show that would quieten a full bar of metal heads like that song can.

so are paul dianno's

obg I had one of those arm bands in like 1983 and it got stolen and I forgot all about it till I just saw this pic

Paul, it's been forty years, it's time to let it go.

Blaze solo stuff is way better than both
I don't like how bruce sings Paul's stuff

>it's time to let it go
the paul maiden was best maiden

>tfw my first taste of Metal was from folk and melodeath
>hate Motörhead
>Priest and Sabbath bore me
>Maiden is boring
Aghhhh. I can’t get into the classics.

What's the television equivalent of Manowar?

and where you put The Trooper?

If you weren't a goth kid, you literally didn't have a teenagehood.

Me on the right.

Eddie by far

Iron Maiden is unironically Comfy Heavy Metal.
Music that you can listen while gazing at the landscape in front of you, sitting on a hill along by your dog and a couple of beer.
Especially CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS

>not dating goth or skate chicks
What does it feel to have failed in your teen life ?

IM ON THE RUN
I KILL TO EAT

Remember when Henry Rollins got so utterly BTFO by Iron Maiden that he wrote a hacky stand up bit about it?

>Henry Rollins
Who?

which maiden solos can you play lads?

i only learned the trooper, flight of icarus and two minutes to midnight. had a go at fear of the dark but it turns into nonsense halfway through.

A KNIFE AT YOUR THROAT
ANOTHER BODY ON THE PILE

This. Goth girls give the best head.

>Iron Maiden is unironically Comfy Heavy Metal.
Comfyness is a bad thing
Remember when dickinson got cucked my motley crue?
Iron Maiden are dicks m8. Dickinson especially is an absolute cunt that shat all over the thrash escene when he was a star and they were literal teens (one of the reasons they all cover Paul's era and not Dickinson's).

This is why I don't own any Maiden shirts and ignore people who wear them

I can't believe I used to like this band, it's embarrassingly bad. In hindsight I guess I convinced myself it was decent because it was "highbrow metal" but really it's just incoherent ramblings by a retard who hires more talented musicians to play his incoherent ramblings.

Grow up.

the one with lots of whammy!

Why?

Me far left

I was a metalhead but autistic... I still missed out in it :(

Attached: 1530896962726.gif (400x444, 1.04M)

their guitarist got busted for possessing child porn

The Clairvoyant was the first solo I ever learned and has a special place in my heart, love that solo!

trips speak truth

Like you'd know, incel.

Trips don't lie my friend.

Killers is the best IM album. It has an incredible riffs and flow.

Priest > Maiden any time
