Very much yes. Folks only watch oversaturated/stylized movies nowadays (see Wes Anderson, Refn, Coen, etc.)

because the real world is fucked
there's a reason you don't see smartphones in movies

yes

>there's a reason you don't see smartphones in movies
why?

The narrative arc was probably too long and confusing for audiences. To be fair, it’s very up and down in terms of energy and plot movement. It’s easy to get lost and then dial out. Plus, the subject matter is very gray and depressing at times. It’s not quite an indulgent action movie

The story doesn't even have an ending it just cuts

It flopped because it's a shitty movie by a shitty director.

no, it's because it was like 3 hours long and a sequel to a sci fi movie from almost 40 years ago. the mainstream audience wasn't down

>sequel to a flop only boomers remember
Hmmm

>oversaturated/stylized movies
It should have done well then.

No, because they made a dishonest flick genetically engineered to appeal to juvenile imdbspawn redditors with no sense of sophistication who laud pseudo visuals, which supports upvote groupthink mentality, and meme acting with a good movie pandering reddit tier "subversion entertainment" sensibilities and a wannabe classic aesthetic

It flopped because it sucked, don't overthink it

tons of reasons. they shit up traditional narratives. they remind people of their problems. nobody wants to see characters hunched over their devices solving everything.

not to shill this channel but it breaks it down

Redditor spotted

they're soulless black monoliths that have no place in a comfy animal movie

No. It was just too slow for most viewers and the "Blade Runner" brand isn't as much of a box office draw as they probably expected. Plus, the movie kind of expects you to have seen the first one which alienated quite a few people, I imagine. The core audience was pretty much the hardcore Science-Fiction crowd, the general audience was never gonna get into it

It was simply unnecessary.

Good movie, good mood, good visuals, but unnecessary.

What makes a movie necessary?

That and it wasnt very good. Felt like a bad refn movie

no
only autist thing it caters for them

It flopped because it fell apart after the first hour

Have sex

6/10 you fit a lot of buzzwords in there.
